The car journey was relaxing and smooth, she relaxed the more time she spent with him. It was an easy, comfortable silence. Her heart relaxed and she watched the scenery as Xavier drove them out of the City and into a rural area.
For Xavier though he was having a hard time. He lived without her sealed up his heart threw away hope and now here she was beside him again, just like old times. She seemed relaxed while he held himself back.
They hadn't discussed the kiss and it was starting to niggle at him again. Did it not affect her like it had him? These were strange times where loyalty is just a tattoo, love is just a quote and lying is the new truth.
But he knew Selena wasn't like that.
All it takes is a moment to fall in love with someone for a lifetime; and he wanted to be the one that could spark the light a match inside her that will burn forever.
Her perfume enveloped him, he groaned, allowing her scent to surround him and calm him. Her sweetness shot straight to his cock and he fought back another groan as he shifted in his seat.
He drove slowly to give them time together and it had worked she wasn't on edge around him. Soon they had arrived in his neighbourhood.
Selena sat up, "You live near Cass and Oriana?"
Xavier nodded, "Yes, Oriana insisted I not sleep in my office forever." He chuckled, she was so right. Setting down roots was important.
"Oh, then getting to work will be pretty easy for me then. I can walk round." She smiled at the thought, this turned out to be a great day.
She hadn't been looking forward to more job rejections this afternoon. Companies seemed to not want to hire anyone today.
Selena watched as they drove past Oriana and Cass's home and continued up a small hill till they reached some black metal gates.
"Did I not tell you this job comes with a car, I will give you the keys later." Xavier didn't like the thought of her walking everywhere and he doubted she would let him chauffer her around, she was too independent for that.
Xavier reached over to the glove compartment and took out a small remote and the gates opened. He drove in and parked.
"Oh that's not necessary." Selena refused. He was being to kind to her, she knew it was because of Cass and Oriana. She didn't want to take advantage of him.
Selena took in the over grown garden in front of her and frowned, the house had so much potential she couldn't believe this was his home. It looked run down and a bit spooky from the outside.

Her passenger door opened and she was met with Xavier's warm smile and hand stretched out towards her. She returned his smile and took his offered hand, "So this is your home?" She asked.
Helping her out of the car he kept hold of her hand as he walked her to the door, he thought for a moment, home is a person and not a place to him, and to him his home was wherever she was that is love.
Xavier turned towards her, stopping outside of his front door. "Did I tell you, you look absolutely delicious today, Selena." He changed the subject as he didn't think she was ready for his answer.
They feast on each other with their eyes.
Famished, feral, greedy and in those sacred moments there is nothing more romantic than the hunger they have for each other.
"Emm, I don't know what to say to that." Xavier threw her off balance with his compliments, not to mention that heated kiss yesterday. She wasn't used to the compliments nor the internal hunger she felt for him.
Xavier chuckled, "No need to say anything, I was just expressing a fact. Now shall we?" Xavier gestured to his front door.
Selena nodded and Xavier walked to the door and opened it with a key. He let Selena walk in first.
Selena took in the abundant space. The home was open plan and bright considering it had no furniture and no one was living there.
"What do you think, is this home?" He asked cheekily.
Selena saw hope in his eyes, but she didn't know what else was behind his expression. She thought before replying.
"It is great, plenty of potential. The space is huge and pretty much a blank canvas." Selena walked from the front door into the open living room.
She glanced into the kitchen. It was all white marble and sage green cupboards. "The kitchen is great, all the appliances look relatively new too. You just need the essentials and a kitchen table and you're done in here."
Xavier nodded, he thought of something and his lip quirked up in a half smile, before saying "Actually there is one room that needs your attention. This way."
Selena followed Xavier, they walked back through the living room and straight up the stair case. The home was the same layout as Cass and Oriana's it just needed some personality, it was very bare.
Xavier stood outside of what was her room in Cass and Oriana's house, waiting for her. He opened the door.
She stepped inside and her eyes lit up, it was her dream room. Instead of a bedroom was a library. Selena walked in, she was drawn to the books, her hips swaying provocatively and her silky hair cascading down her shoulders.
Xavier took in everything about her, she appeared relaxed around him, especially as her fingers danced over the spines of the books.
"I have never seen a personal library this big." Selena remarked, she wanted to sit and read every single book here. He had old classics, romance, thrillers and fantasy books, you name it, and it was here.
"You may take any of my books, what's mine is yours." Xavier stated. He came into the room wanting to be closer to her.
