Chapter 139: Back to Earth

Bon Jovi is playing on my phone and I'm singing along as I'm putting folder by folder into the cardboard box.

He might be living on a prayer but I know that just a few days ago nobody was there to listen to my begging. 

Still, I somehow made it out alive. 

Rain is pouring against the window front and I had to turn on all the lights inside my office to fight the grey clouds hanging over New York City. 

Since our return from Heaven, the weather has been awful and I'm wondering if there might be a connection. Is the sky crying over the loss of Priscilla? That's hard to believe. It's more likely that our planet is relieved. We saved it after all.

I grab the picture of me and my parents and look at it. 

We took this one around two years ago during the wedding of one of my cousins. They were so proud of me back then.
