"Why did you choose me as your disciple, Grandma Moi? Aren't there any other better kids that you can take?" I asked her. I really don't want to partake in this disciple battle, and I want her to change her mind.
"Obviously, because there are no one better compared to you. Luckily, the other elders already reached the limit of taking in disciples. They say the early bird gets the worm but I actually got a fatter one compared to them. I'm sure they are also spying on you right now. They must be regretting their decision to get so many disciples right now." The old hag said then laughed. I can also hear Gengar laughing with her.
I pondered about everything, and decided to just accept my fate since I have no choice on this situation Either way, I'll just have to make sure this old hag is going to lose some resources from training me after the trial.
"I accept to be your disciple, Master Moi." I said then gave her the traditional kneeling position.
"Great, kid! We'll start our training after your trials. I already planned about the training for you. I'll train you to be a great ninja, and a pokemon trainer. I'll teach you the technique in concealing one's presence, sound, and even smell just like I always do. Liz, already learned the presence part since Myne taught her that but it's a weak version of it." The old hag while giving me a smile. She then gestured for me to stand up, and I did.
"Also, you don't have to hide your Golbat from now on. I have an item which makes his color back to normal. This is a earring which I bought from a friend that has Psionic powers. This earring can alter the color of Golbat to a normal looking one. You really did a great job from making Spada impressed with you. He also must have noticed my Gengar with you, and immediately gave you that stone since he knows I only do this kind of action when I see someone with potential. Even Gengar wants that stone but luckily for you he isn't greedy enough to steal yours." The old hag continued blabbering about while giving me a small silver rounded earring. Golbat ears will be pierced because of this but it won't hinder him by doing that. I'll make him wear it later.
So, the old hag actually knows Spada, and even that elite trainer knows her. This old hag looks like she has an outstanding status to the region. But isn't her Gengar a grand level one, why would Spada take importance to her? Also, how did Spada know it's the old hag's Gengar?
Maybe this old hag has better pokemon compared to this Gengar. This is the only possible solution I can think off, or maybe he did something beneficial for Spada in the past making her important to him. I would not know but I might know in the future.
"Anyway, I'll go back to the clan first then. Also, you don't have to worry about the thing you said with Liz. I don't care about that, and will never care about it as if I didn't hear it. That's my other gift for you as your master." The old hag said then took out a pokeball which summoned a Crobat.
It was the same Crobat from before, and this time I didn't forget in checking out it's stats. Once seeing it though, I was surprised. It actually has an elite level power. This can answer my question from Spada knowing her. It seems like the old hag is a hidden elite trainer. Why does she not want to have a greater position in the clan then?
I mean having that kind of pokemon will obviously make her have a higher position instead of an elder. I would not know, and I won't care. The thing that was on my mind right now is that I took a jackpot from this situation. An elite trainer as my master is not so bad.
"Take care, and quickly get back to the clan. I'll teach you something before your trials start." She said then flew away with her Crobat.
What she'll teach me something? But why did she not let us travel with her! This old hag could have brought us with her then our journey will get easier.
"I'm sorry, master." Liz said with a guilty look.
"Why are you saying sorry, Liz?" I asked her curiously.
"Well, if I have been careful that Gengar would not have been able to hide on my shadow. Also, now you're forced to be a disciple of Elder Moi. You're put into danger because of me. I'm a worst right hand man to have." She said while having a sad look.
"Don't blame yourself. I was also not careful but let this be a lesson for us. To think that old hag was spying on us the whole time is incredible and creepy at the same time." I told her.
The old hag actually did not use Liz as a spy but instead used a pokemon to spy on me. Who would have thought that she will do that? This old hag is really good at thinking this. I have to keep my guard up against her, I don't know if she still have some tricks up her sleeves.
Anyway, her gift was great though. With this, I don't have to hide Golbat in the pokeball again. She has a great connection to have a friend with Psionic powers. I also want to meet one, and maybe I can ask them to see if I have psychic powers too.
"Golbat, come hear. Let's put this earring on one of your ears. Which ear do you want me to put it?" I told Golbat, and he screeched while pointing at his left ear.
"This will hurt a bit so bear up with the pain, okay?" I told him then asked Liz to help me put the earring to Golbat.
Once we put it on Golbat, he glowed white then his color became a normal looking one that a Golbat has.
