Chapter 207: Chain Reaction XI

"You demanded the devils' assets in Japan for a ceasefire but since Grigori is in a better position, would our own assets in Japan be enough for a solid alliance I wonder?" Azazel suggested with a curious smile.

"I assume It will not just be a simple handover but you've got me interested." Jun responded, bidding Azazel to continue with the specifics of his offer.

"Like I said before, the basics of an alliance, plus lettings us use the place we will give you and operate within Japan, only with your oversight." Azazel specified a bit.

"So other that the alliance, everything will basically be the same? I already know everything you do here, this will just make it a requirement for you to tell me." Jun pointed out.

"That's . . ." Azazel was prepared to counter but Jun just cut him off.

"Look. Don't play games with me alright. That's how the devils invited humiliation and I went easy on them because they were the first but if you do the same right after seeing what happened? There won't be such a thing as a fallen angel by the time I'm done." He warned.

"Clear?" Jun pressed.

"Not sure I follow?" Azazel seemed confused.

"So you do not have a three way Biblical Faction alliance in the works and want to rope me in thus ending possible hostilities with the other two due to the way I do things thus preserving peace and getting yourself a powerful ally as well as leverage other the other two factions?" Jun questioned with a colder tone.

"Ah! That! Well . . . You got me?" Azazel guiltily chuckled.

"Last chance." Jun simply responded and fell silent once again.

"I was kinda hoping that went through so why don't you make a proposal instead, something we both can work with." The fallen angel suggested.

"Fine." Jun replied and closed his eyes, pondering for a few seconds, enough to come up with a fairly detailed general plan. The actual nitty gritty details were always handled by the subordinates after all.

"First of all, the sharing information nonsense is out the window. I know nobody really follows that clause to closely but I honor my agreements and since I'm not intending on sharing what I know that might as well take the clause out entirely." He started.

"Fair enough, I appreciate honesty so let us create the first completely honest alliance treaty in recent memory." Azazel declared in response before awaiting further details from Jun.

"I can let you keep using your assets after my takeover but I'll have my people fully take control. You can use the places but my people will be in charge and in control of the facilities." He said.

"You have enough people for that? I only did not suggest this because I thought you lacked enough people to make such large scale operations possible." Azazel questioned.

"Let me worry about that." Jun simply replied before continuing.

"Militarily speaking . . . I will not rush to your rescue, neither do I expect you to do the same for me, not that I honestly believe you'll ever have the chance however . . . Your forces can take refuge in Japan and I'll protect them." He said.

Azazel was about to speak in response to his words but Jun held him up before adding.

"But . . . This is a privilege not to be abused.Do not try to use my territory as a military staging area or base without my express consent or we'll have problems."

"Alright. If the deal goes through, you have my guarantee." Azazel declared.

"Next up. No actions taken against the other party but for this particular agreement, allies of each party will not be included. If one of us wishes to defend their allies, then this must be communicated first and if hostilities proceed, the treaty is automatically dissolved." Jun put up his next clause.

"You really don't want to let the devils get away from you eh? Want them to live in fear for a while?" Azazel questioned when he heard the part where their respective allies were not protected.

"Something like that." Jun non committedly replied.

'If my people were to take any action towards his allies he would defend them and my side will be the one at a loss since the agreement will be dissolved but our Japan based assets will still be under his control.' Azazel pondered.

'This is not an equal deal at all but we are not equal parties to begin with so I suppose I should not really complain even if I kinda want to. Still, Jun is really ruthless when it comes to this kind of stuff.' He thought to himself.

"Is this the most I can get out of you?" Azazel asked.

"Pretty much." Jun casually replied.

"Fine, I'll need to take this up with my second as he regularly complains about my arbitrary decisions. It involves Grigori in its entirety so I ought to talk things through. Pretend I'm a good leader at least." The fallen angel relented.

"You sell yourself short. Just by not making the mistake of screwing with me and crossing a line, you're already doing a better job that Sirzechs." Jun half joked half complimented Azazel in response.

"Thanks I guess." He shrugged while replying.

"Any other official business to discuss?" Jun inquired.

"Not really but . . ." Azazel paused.

"But?" Jun gave him a suspicious look.

"Since the official business ended on a more or less good note . . . How about we discuss something a little more personal." The fallen angel suggested.

"I'm not sure I like where this is going . . ."
