Chapter 146: Breaktime II
With both the Nasuverse and the DxD Verse being relatively calm and peaceful, Jun could finally enjoy a well deserved break from the drama and just enjoy his life with his beloved wives while teasing prospective harem candidates without a care in the world.
Well, the Nasuverse was only calm in the timelines he was directly interfering in, there were various other ones that were far from calm but none of that was Jun's problem.
Perhaps when he grew bored of doing nothing and just relaxing with his girls, he would pay a visit to one of these timelines for fun. As of right now though, breaktime it was.
Having been dealing with Nasuverse matters for such a long time, barring the little interlude with the DxD Verse's yokai, Jun decided to spend most of his vacation there and leave the Nasuverse alone.
This decision led to a deeply unsatisfied [Ryougi Shiki] filling a complaint that not only did he isolate his home from her senses, now she could not even sense his presence. After all, her senses only extended as far as the Nasuverse, when Jun went to DxD, she could not even tell.
However, as the personification of the Root as she could be called in some sense, Jun found [Ryougi Shiki] hard to deal with and so, seeing that by escaping into the DxD Verse, he could "get one over her", he unhesitantly decided to spend a majority of his time there.
As for the people in the Nasuverse that would miss his presence like the little girls, Sakura and Illya who still had school along with the latter's mother Iri and the two operatives Maya and Natalia, Jun made a point to bring them to him for a little break time at least once every weekend.
And when it came to people like Reines and Waver who had wisely tied themselves to him, along with the Sophia-Ri Family that wished to do the same, they had to deal with his absence themselves as Jun cared far too little to make an effort to accommodate their needs and plans.
Just like so, time trickled by.
The shyer ladies of Domina Coronam gathered their courage to make moves of Jun as they saw their more proactive rivals make progress while the object of their affection watched the race amusedly as he enjoyed the loving gestures the girls sent his way.
The DxD group of Natsume, Shigune and Sae also made progress in the sense that the others no longer looked at them sideways for their previous hesitation in swearing their lives and souls to Jun at the time of the current Domina Coronam's construction.
Speaking of the girls from DxD, the ones who had yet to enter his fold were also putting the moves on Jun who deeply enjoyed the copious amounts of female attention he was receiving recently.
In fact, it were these "outsiders" that put the pressure on the more passive girls in Jun's group. After all, it was one thing for a fellow of the same group to earn Jun's affection ahead of themselves but for these "outsiders" to be gaining ground so fast and possibly surpass them?
No, such a thing could not be tolerated. And so, Jun got to enjoy being lavishly spoiled by country toppling beauties left and right without even having to lift a finger, that was truly the life.
Two of these upstarts were Sona Sitri and Rias Gremory though to be fair, Sona was not interested in Jun romantically even if she found him attractive and only wished to work out a deal for him to join her peerage.
Rias on the other hand, seemed quite taken with him and unabashedly tried to use the notorious honeytrap in order to get him to join her peerage.
Unfortunately for the two girls, even if Jun lost his mind and decided to accept one of their offers, the Devils' Evil Piece System would not be able to convert him into a devil or do anything to him in fact. Even if they used, multiple pieces or special Mutation Pieces it still would not matter.
So their efforts were quite meaningless. Still teasing the two girls was quite a fun and relaxing activity so Jun might have forgotten to mention this to them.
Interestingly however, Kouki and Tobio who had distanced themselves a bit from Jun's group because being around a god like guy and a bunch of girls who loved him was putting a bit too much pressure on them, ended up being recruited by the aforementioned two girls.
Rias' nine pawns were used to convert Tobio while Sona used two rook pieces to convert Kouki, significantly boosting the two girls' peerages through the adding of powerful sacred gear wielders with high potential.
Although it was certainly a good time for the two young devils, from that point forth, the two newly converted devils became extra awkward around Jun.
After all, they were technically still a part of his group and did not bother to inform him of their decision to join the devils out of fear of losing their nerve after talking with him.
The looks of disdain and disappointment their former comrades who stuck with Jun, namely, the girls formerly a part of their group, gave the two boys certainly did not help to alleviate that tension.
Fortunately for them, Jun couldn't care any less. He understood how tough it had to be for them in his group considering they were the only guys besides him and all the girls were aiming for Jun, making them unwelcome extras in a harem basically. It was truly unbearable.
As such, despite their fears, life moved on for everyone without issue.
