His teeth were hard enough that he could break through that guy's skull. And, he ate his head brutally.
Raiden stood beside them and watched that big man devouring that guy.
'He is a monster!! I can't believe it. This guy is just eating his head out. He is like a crazy animal hunting his prey.
Tch. And, that guy even asked me for help. But I couldn't do anything. I was too scared!'
That scene was something that any normal human would get scared of after seeing. The whole 3rd floor was full of those scenes. Blood and corpses, that was all it was full of.
'But I can't keep standing here the whole day. I have to move! For Hatsuhi's sake too. I gotta save her, no matter what!'
Raiden remembered what his resolve was. It was to save Hatsuhi no matter what happens. Raiden had to save up courage and get out of that situation.
'I have to just get out of here somehow. Should I attack him with this wooden sword? No! I don't know how would he react. He almost looks like a wild animal. I can't afford to end up like that guy.'
Raiden kept on thinking of ways to get out of that mess but he was out of ideas, until at last..
'Wait! Something weird happened a moment ago. That man came so close and stood directly in front of me yet he didn't lay a single finger on me but instead went for the guy below. What could be the reason? Could it be... he is blind!?
It makes a little sense though… him not noticing me at all and above all things his eyes had no pupil in them. They were empty!
This could be the opening for me to escape! Whether this man is blind or not will decide if I would be able to escape or not! If I fail I could even end up losing my life. It's a risky gamble. But I gotta take the opportunity, no matter what. If I don't….. then, who will protect Hatsuhi?'
Raiden was full of resolve. This was his final hope to get out of that man's hand. The man who was still tearing that guy's brain apart left Raiden completely unnoticed. Raiden could not think of any other explanation than that man was blind.
Raiden kneeled, now, so close to where that man was. And, without making any noise, took out his shoes from his foot. He stood holding one of his shoes in his left hand. And, had that wooden sword that Toshi gave him in his right hand.
'It's now or never! I have to do it!'
Raiden threw his shoes to his right, as far as he could.
After staying in the air the shoes hit the floor. The splash with the blood, which was piled up on the floor, made a noise.
That man stopped eating on that guy. And, looked towards where the sound had come from. He stood up and went in the direction where Raiden had thrown the shoes. He walked slowly and stopped after reaching where the shoes had landed.
'It worked!' Raiden wanted to express his feelings out loud but it wasn't the time.
'It damned worked! Hell yeah! So I was right, that sucker is blind.'
Raiden was happy after making that thing go away from him and he was ready to move toward his classroom, which was on his left side.
Raiden was about to move but, then came another man from a classroom. But, he was not alone. Many different people came out of different classrooms around where Raiden had stood.
They all looked bloody and terrific. Filled with blood from head to foot. They walked slowly while some were limping, making their way towards Raiden.
'The hell is this? One gone and came this many behind his back. They all are coming this way. Oh shit!'
It was a total of 7 of them walking in a group, closer toward Raiden.
Raiden was again terrified looking at this many of them together. But he again decided to stand there and do nothing.
The group reached him. He was standing very near to the stairs so the whole corridor was wide open for anyone to pass by. The group came closer to Raiden but completely ignored him. They walked right past him to his right side, where Raiden had thrown his shoes before.
As they passed by Raiden heard a voice of "grawl" coming from the group. He also noticed not a single one of them had a pupil in their eyes. It was completely white.
'Just as I thought. They all are blind! They all act the same, the way they walk, the way they limp, and, the way they grawl are the same. From the roof, I saw a lot of people attacking our school and turns out it's these flesh-eating monsters who are blind. I'm still confused as heck on why are they behaving like this and how they all went blind. But, I gotta say their sense of hearing is incredible. Just from a little sound made by a shoe, they got the exact location on where it had been struck.
But never mind all of them. I can't give a flying shit about them anymore. All I care about is getting out of this mess with Hatsuhi.'
The group of people had joined with that man and now they stood around where Raiden's shoe was. They did nothing but hinge here and there around that shoe.
'They all look pretty distracted to me. It is my chance to go to my classroom when nobody stands in between.'
Raiden took off his other shoe too and left it on the floor. 'I gotta try to make as much little noise as I can.'
He now took his second step on the 3rd floor in all that mess. He felt nervous trying to walk on that floor as behind him stood the group of some deadly monsters who would react to his every single moment.
But, Raiden had made up his mind. He would move ahead at any cost.
Thus, he moved forward.
