Chapter 103: Hard Truth

Back in the world before this, in the one where my beloved and I met and lived together, I never was very girly, nor did I ever learn to enjoy the ‘joys of being a woman’ as my mother used to call them. My relationship with my mother made me swear off things like that. So, in the end I became quite a bit of a tomboy, something that never truly left me. After my beloved and I met, I suddenly began wanting to be a bit more like the women who moved in the same circles as him— all dolled up and wearing nice dresses to events and whatnot. It’s not that my beloved cared to watch them whenever he was with me, it just made me wonder what it would be like to be one of them.

And now I know.

Priscilla couldn’t be more different than my past self, had she wanted to.

She had been raised as the perfect lady; she took the utmost care of her figure and appearance, had nothing but gorgeous gowns and the chicest jewelry I had ever seen, and all her possessions screamed of elegance and opulence.
