"Man, I feel like this guy weighs a freaking ton," I said as I helped hoist Aeron up on the stainless steel exam table.
"He does seem heavier than before," Atlas said as he finished hooking up the equipment. "Everyone take their hands off of him for a moment." He pushed some buttons on the table's base. "He's almost forty pounds heavier than when he first came in."
We all looked at each other.
"Since all he's done is lay around, bash our woman, and try to use his powers against us, where is the weight coming from?" Ransom asked.
Atlas shook his white blonde head. "I have no idea." His green eyes gleamed under the bright lights in the infirmary. "But I would love to find out."
"Keep that idea on ice, brother," Taryk said. "We need some answers from him before we send him back to his people."
Atlas nodded, looking like someone had taken his favorite toy.
"Sweetheart, you ready?" Taryk asked Kiema.
