She arrived early at the hotel and booked in the same room. Though tired, the impressive view oozed through her and she dragged the offered beauty deep into her lungs.

"It was a long road. The last six months had brought on many changes, Lord." Sonia wiped the tiredness away. "You made this all possible and kept your promises, Lord." A hand fell on the slight bump and cupped it.

"My future is in your hands."

Insecurities played with her on the 24-hour trip. Their last meeting did not go well. Then she had pushed him away, and he was angry about the time she had spent with Sam and Alexi.

Their unusual meeting and courtship followed by the strain of not knowing. Was their love enough to pull them through? Her heart was in a permanent longing.
