Chapter 83: A Glimpse

"So how did you manage to rescue me from my dungeon?" Damien teased Helena as she fidgeted with her dress, smiling to herself as they continued to walk.

She was excited to have a little freedom to feel normal with a man that sent her heartbeat wild. Damien made her feel things she didn't know existed. For a moment, she felt happy and excited to get up in the mornings and complete her days.

"Well, my duties have changed, and I imagine you are not a threat to the kingdom or to Master Arlon, since he has eased your restrictions. So, things will be a bit different now". She said as she guided Damien around the gloomy manor with their arms intertwined.
