Chapter 81: Heated

Helena sat with Zia having tea and breakfast together in Helena's room. Her room was smaller than Zia's room, but it was nice and cozy. It was also very clean. It felt like a safe space to Zia. She preferred being there instead of in Arlon's dark, creepy room.

Since Zia came around, Arlon had been giving Helena a lot more freedom than she was used to, and she loved it. She had more time to visit Damien and they had begun to get ready for the festival. She couldn't get enough of him. Helena could only thank Zia for simply existing.

"How are you, Zia? How are things with Master Arlon?" Helena asked her as she sipped her tea. Zia gazed out of the window, thinking about how things really were. Everything felt unreal to her. She had no idea how to feel about anything. She glanced at the table and then at Helena before she answered.
