Chapter 61: Deceit

The manor felt extra cold on her skin as Helena hurried to finish her other duties for the day. Her body was still excited from being with Damien. As she walked down the hall, she roamed her hands behind her neck and down her chest, trying to stop the feelings emerging from her.

Everything inside of her wanted to return to his room and let him do whatever he pleased to her. If the guard had not interrupted, she wasn't sure if she would have stopped anything from happening between them.

After walking far enough away from the guard who, as she suspected, did not notice her clothing change, she stopped in the hallway and positioned herself on the wall. She placed her hands on her knees as she braced herself, breathing deeply. Then she leaned back, tilting her head up slightly against the wall.
