Chapter 51: Enamored 51

"Look at you! You are doing so well. I am happy for you." Syraah smiled as she walked into the healing pool, guiding Orion by his hand.

His body had almost completely healed in such a short time. His skin and regenerated and he regained more of his strength which each passing moment.

He never saw what his face looked like when he first arrived to Empyriah, nor did he care to see himself in such a frightening condition. His reflection in the pool was pleasing even though the healing process was still evident.

"Does it always have to start out this cold?" He complained as he flinched and tensed his body at the sting of the cold water.

"Yes. The first cold rush is part of the process. Don't tell me a little cold water is harder to bear than your injuries were." She giggled.

"So, this is funny to you, huh?" Orion asked as Syraah quickly covered her smile.
