Chapter 38: Inquisitive

Zia woke up with tears streaming down her face as she breathed erratically. She sat up in bed and thought about the disturbing images that ran through her mind.

Her dreams were filled with demons and fire. She saw images of the man she nearly killed as his face turned to raw flesh and bones. Damien was burying the man in another image.

She wondered if the man had died from the wound she inflicted on his head. He was still alive before she ran away. She suddenly felt cold as goosebumps covered her arms and neck as she tried to control her breathing.

The most disturbing images were of Orion. She saw Orion being burnt alive. He was tied up in a dark room all alone. Her heart ached as the tears continued to flow from her eyes. This couldn't be real. She thought.

Forcing herself to think of other things, she decided to look for Gemini who was already up and about, getting into things in the tower.

"Come here boy." She said as Gemini wagged his way over to Zia, licking her face.
