Chapter 6: Easy to give up
The next day, Jason woke up early and had a quick shower before going to the lake 10 minutes before 6 am. Once he got to the lake, it was 6:10 and Tornado was already at the cliff, but this time she was wearing a bikini... A very small sized bikini for her shape.
Jason, who was a normal human being acted like any other human being by looking at the breast from a distance he was sure she wouldn't realize.
'I wonder how her mother looks like" Jason said instantly regretting what he just said, 'why did I say that?'
He put his swimming suit on, and he was joining Tornado on the cliff. Once he got there, he looked at Tornado, at it seemed like she was dreaming.
"Jason, the next time you look at my breast, I will send a mega wave in your direction, am I clear."
"Umm-erh Y-yes ma'am," he said while feeling very stupid about himself.
"Good, now, sit down"
Jason obeyed immediately and shortly after, Tornado sat down with him as well. I told you to come at 6 am because, in about 1 hour and 30 minutes, my fans are coming to see me. "How do they know you're here," He asked in a curious tone.
"You don't have to know she answered" she answered, "now hold both of my hands, and attempt to join the meditation chamber..."
Jason did exactly what she told him to do, and it was much easier this time because there was no one around him to distract him by any means.
He entered a total concentration which allowed him to join the meditation chamber. 'I entered faster than yesterday; probably because it's was quieter.' he thought before realizing, Tornado was with him.
"Now try to become one with the water again," She told him, "but this time, I don't want you to just try to become one with it, but I want you to dominate it."
"How on earth do I do that" He had a confused expression on his face as if what Tornado was saying was just simply impossible, "It is like there is a strong wind that is pushing when I enter that state, so how on earth am I going to dominate it?"
"By simply pushing the wind back and staying steady on your feet" Tornado replied.
A few minutes passed, and once again, the water on the floor started rising. "Now, try to stop the water from rising," she said with her hands crossed while she was looking at Jason. Jason tried again and again, but he still couldn't prevent the water from rising.
"I can't do it!" Jason yelled
"Well, you can always give up and try another day..." Tornado said knowing that Jason was not the kind of boy to run from a challenge.
"Oh for f**k sake, I'm gonna try harder then."
Jason concentrated hardly and at one point, blood started coming out of his nose because he was overusing his energy.
"Ok Jason stop, we will continue tomorrow."
Before she could go back, the water stopped, but this time, it was moving into a specific spot. Tornado went to investigate where the water was going and before she knew it, all the water on the floor disappeared. When she looked above her, she saw the biggest water bubble she had ever seen.
"Holy shit!" she screamed and Jason woke up and ran towards Tornado to see what was happening, but as he stopped the water that was above Tornado fell and splashed on the two of them which snapped them to reality.
"Did I pass the first training?" Jason asked
Tornado, who was in her thoughts was still wondering how he managed to lift that must water in the air and still be alive.
'You are a special one, Cooper' she told herself while looking at him with a smile, "Yes, by tomorrow, we can go to the next training."
"Hey, but it's still the middle of the day, I can proceed to the next training now!" He said, but when he looked in the sky, it was already the evening. He checked his watch, and it was 5:30 pm.
"How?" He exclaimed
"You don't realize how time flies in the meditation chamber. Some rangers spend 2 whole weeks training their element mastery in the meditation chamber..." She said while waving to the few people left on the lake. "Go home Cooper, tomorrow ill teach you how to control your energy. Believe it or not, controlling your energy is easier than controlling your elemental.
Jason who listened attentively to what Tornado said headed home on his bicycle with a small smile on his face because he knew how to tame his elemental. Once he got home, on the couch, he saw Ian who was waiting for him.
" Dude where we're you? You're all around Instagram at the moment. Is it true that Tornado is your teacher?" Ian asked curiously.
Jason couldn't keep up with what Ian was saying, but he understood that many people know that Tornado became his tutor. "How do you know that first of all?" Jason asked confused.
"You're all over the internet; some people took photos of you meditating with Tornado at a lake." Ian then showed him pictures of him on the cliff he was meditating on with Tornado.
"Enough about me, tell me how your training is going!" Jason asked trying to change the subject immediately.
Ian went to the kitchen to get to lays sugar flavour when Jason asked him the question, "It's going well, today he taught me how to convert liquid metal into solid metal."
"Why do you need to do that" Jason asked
"Do you think that there is metal everywhere I go? That is why I must always have some liquid metal on me because I have to prepare on fighting on a ground that is not favourable to me." Ian answered.
Jason thought that what Ian said was logical, and they both went into Jason's bedroom where they could watch Netflix and just chill. Meanwhile, Kandice and Trisha went on a 2 weeks vacation to see their family. Jason would have loved to come, but he couldn't because of his training (he didn't want to go). Eventually, they fell asleep before even finishing the first episode of season 876 of Once piece.
[In Chris Hanfield's mansion]
Chris saw his phone ringing and he saw that it was Tornado calling.
" What's up Tornado, how is the progress of the kid going?"
"That's why I called..."
"What happened?" Chris asked
"There is something wrong... When he first started taming his elemental, he lifted the whole water from the chamber in one try..." She said in a very serious tone.
" Are you serious?" He asked amazed
"That's not it, I don't think he realized it yet, but when he left the chamber and the water fe back down, it was now in the solid state... You know what that means..."
Chris hung up the call and looked at himself in the mirror amazed. He couldn't believe what he just heard.
"I never knew Jason's potential was that big" he whispered
