Aisha waited as to how King Leandro would counteract what the High Priest said. It seemed like the High Priest was the only person who can talk with the King like he was at the same level as him.

"So Gaea has a theocratic government?" Aisha blurted out as she recalled that there were countries in her former world where religious officials can make decisions on national matters aside from the King. 

Unfortunately, the High Priest seemed to be not in favor of her.

Aisha didn't know what to expect. If the King unleashed his wrath, they would blame her again, proving that she was a cunning apple in his eyes. 

If he didn't, it was like he just accepted that she was guilty, and she would be hurt.

Aisha was all the more frozen to get out from that room. If she revealed herself, things might get worse.
