I was back at my old house. Back at my old routine. Tears heavily fell from my eyes as my mom chased after me with a belt in her hand, eyes bloodshot, and nose bleeding with the continuous and non-stop use of drugs.

Science says you have 70 percent water in your body. She had 100 percent drugs in hers. She still chased after me with a crazed look on her face as she yelled at me to stop running. I wiped my tears with my arm, hurriedly climbing the stairs leading towards the attic.

A hand shot out of nowhere grabbing my ankle pulling me down and I let out a shrill scream as I fell down onto the floor with a loud thud. I sobbed as she grabbed a handful of my hair and I screamed again as she started to drag me out in the living room.

"Please, please, mom, please, let go of me", I sniffed struggling weakly as I held her wrist with my broken and bleeding hand.
