Chapter 40: Ban Him

Ban him

Meetings and meetings went by yet no trace of exhaustion could be observed on his sculpted Adonis face.

"CEO, just now I received a message from our men that an auction of illegal weaponry is going to take place in the Crescent Club."

Felix signed his signature on the last page of another thick file folder.

"Timing?"

"10 to 11."

Alex fixed his glasses before his eyes drifted off to Felix's majestic figure correcting tiny mistakes in the documents and signing. The previous mountain of files had been cut to barely 5 or 7 files being left.

Felix said, "Ready the car at 9:45. We will leave by then. You may leave now."

Alex nodded as he jotted down the time.

He cleared his throat to get his attention back to him.

"Speak."

The poor assistant felt like his soul was teleported to the frigid place when he listened to the deep and cold voice, "CEO, the meeting at 5 had been cancelled."

Felix did not pause or halt but the fierceness surrounding him told a different story to Alex. He knew how his CEO would not have agreed to the meeting if not for the old man had asked.

The Old man here is Felix's grandfather's close friend. He had requested for Felix to meet his grandson for a meeting to discuss future collaboration. Initially, he had rejected the old man's request ruthlessly but then he started to beg and disturb his grandfather.

In the end, Felix asked Alex to arrange a meeting but his sudden decision of going to France made the meeting supposed to happen earlier to prolong for this long.

He had already told Alex to notify all his meeting partners about the abrupt change. Alex followed his orders but an expected problem arose when the old man's grandson began to mock his boss for not abiding by the rules and suspending the planned meeting at the last moment. He also taunted Felix for having an unethical and unprofessional approach to the business.

Alex was angered to death by him yet he didn't confront the man because Felix had prevented him otherwise he would have gladly given the other man some piece of advice as people should never jump to conclusions nor let their vendetta against anyone rule them. One should know how to weigh the pros and cons of offending someone without having full knowledge about their enemy. The only difference between both situations is that the one getting offended is Felix Carter.

The devil incarnation and the worst nightmare.

Felix had a history of never letting off the ones who had dared to go against him. Certainly, another name got added to that list today.

"Ban him and his company."

Felix commanded Alex. He smirked as he put 'Windsor Company' under their black list.

Alex knew what impressions others had for his CEO. They all thought of him as a silent man, someone who stayed away from the dirty lifestyle of a businessman but they never knew the real devil is Felix, himself.

This poker-faced man had taken an uncountable number of lives then also those that didn't deserve to live. Felix always believed one needs to pay for his sins. And how he took payment from them depended on their sins.

The bigger sin is the high priced payment for it.

Alex had looked up to his CEO, Felix, as his role model since the first day he had encountered him. Smiling at his memories, he felt lucky to be by his side. He also guessed Felix to be a man without any emotions, almost a robot but he was proven wrong.

He had seen the familial love and affection, his eyes held for his family members on his own. He was deeply moved by that, from then on he promised to be devoted to Felix.

Felix raised his eyebrows as he felt an intense gaze. Lifting his head, he witnessed his assistant and secretary, Alex looking at him with respectful eyes.

Like a fan gaping at their idol, totally awestruck.

Felix could only shake his head helplessly. He didn't need to ask or guess, he knew that look, it was not even the first time.

Felix decided to have Alex come out of his daydreams, "Anything left to discuss?"

Alex woke up from his trances. He let out an embarrassed laugh.

Bowing to Felix, "CEO, then I will take your leave." He ran outside.

Due to Alex's personality every time whenever he is deeply thinking, you could see his emotions written all over his face.

Although nothing changed on Felix's face, a slight curve of lips appeared.

Alex strode to his cabin room. The largest room on the top floor was of Felix while the second larger one had Alex's name imprinted on the nameplate. Pushing the door back, he got into the room. He sat on his chair behind the table. The chair's back faced the large french mirror window.

He pressed a black button. A knock came on his cabin door.

"Enter."

Leo, Alex's assistant trudged.

"I want you to circulate the news that the Carter Corps. is black listing Windsor Company. Be sure that this should be the top news on social media. Also if anyone comes from that company, don't allow them access until I say so. Are we clear?"

"Understood," Leo responded.

He created a catchy title for the article and mailed it to the IT team. Informing them to announce it.

Alex nodded, "You can go. I will call you when I need you."

"Have a good day, Sir." Then Leo disappeared.

Alex smirked as he imagined the fear-stricken faces of Windsors. The once arrogance would soon be replaced by anxiety and panic.

______________

Time rushed past quickly and soon it was night. Employees had left the corporation around 8 pm.

An eerie silence engulfed the topmost floor. When the clock hit 9, Felix closed the last document file. He stood up.

Walking over to the right wall of his office room, he put his hand over to the fingerprint scanner. It turned green. A heartbeat scanner came into his vision. Checking his heartbeat, the wall slid open.

Felix moved inside the room. He went inside his bathroom. He took a quick shower and hurried out. He came to a halt as he gazed at his reflection in the full mirror.

Ruffling up his wet hair, "I need to disguise myself."

Why did he need a disguise?

No one had ever seen the Devil well-known in the netherworld. Every time he came in a different camouflage.

Felix didn't want to be seen, not because he was afraid; rather he chose to be a hidden fear.
