Chapter 44: Chapter 44: Time to Take Out the Trash, Part 1

Chicago, Friday noon

Kevin sat at the Wrigleyville Bar and watched as the courier dropped off a short man about the same age as himself. He walked with a slight limp.

He looked at Kevin. "Are you Mr. Callahan?"

"Yes," replied Kevin. "Come and sit; I've ordered us a couple of beers."

"Thank you," the man said, taking his seat. "My name is Edmond Jaeger, and you were correct that I work at Sundial. In fact, I'm Benjamin Hall's main adviser."

"Well, Eddie, you'll excuse me if I don't exactly welcome you with open arms," said Kevin as the barmaid set two beers down on the table. "We aren't very fond of Sundial. In fact, we're not sure you're even supposed to exist."
