His mouth twitches slightly as I speak and I can feel the judgment of his eyes on my skin. He is gauging the way I speak and hold myself. And he is not pleased with it. I can see the derogatory look in his eyes. He slowly raises a finger and points it to me.

More specifically, to my stomach.

I tense up involuntarily. What does he want? Why is he asking about me now? After all this time has passed, I'm sure he knew of Adian's existence. But so far, I don't see any records of his presence in Adian's life. But I think that it is safe to presume that he hasn't tried to reach out to Adian before this incident.
