Climbing the small hill from our house onto the pathway to the studio, I caught sight of Liam at the top of the next ridge. I could tell the moment he saw us as he was climbing with Lee. Spinning around on his heel he took off back in our direction and the momentum of the downward force built up making him run faster than his little legs could carry him. We watched him topple head over foot and roll the rest of the way down the hill.
My heart flew to my mouth in fear as both Valerie and I reacted instantly and ran to him to make sure he wasn't hurt. When I heard Liam bubbling with laughter I exhaled heavily with relief. He got to his feet using both hands until he pushed himself up straight and shouted, "I funny, Daddy."
