Chapter 13: Problem 2

Rai's POV

"I discovered that those individuals belonged to the Black Storm Organization. The Dark Continent, also known as the Disas Continent, is the subject of study for the Black Storm Organization. However, at the moment, their main goal is to obtain dark magic through the sacrifice of little girls." Lily said and gave me tons of information.

"Hmm....."

"The other dryads told me stories about the Black Storm Organization is preparing to bomb the kingdom of Elyarus on this upcoming event." She continued.

"*Closes the book* Do you know what it is?" I asked.

"*Shakes head* We don't know, but according to my spores, their current behavior is rather odd."

"How strange?"

"They haven't been active in recent years, but we have been spying on them for years." She answered.

"You mean they existed years ago?"

"Yes, my lord."

"And yet, this is my first time hearing about this organization." I said but she went silent as she had nothing to say.

"..... "

"Continue."

"We learned last month that the Black Storm organization purchased one hundred slaves to perform hard labor."

"What are they trying to build?"

"We are currently trying our best to send a spy into their main base. However, we are finding it difficult to send someone because we quickly withered."

"How about sending one human?" I asked but Lily just shake her head.

"..... That would be impossible. We rarely encounter humans."

"How about an animal or creature that can shape shift?" I suggested.

"That sounds like a great idea, but we don't know how to approach humans."

"..."

"The last treasure that you and your ancestor gave to the humans and beast-men was hidden away in the forest by us, the Dryads, after the Alexio vanished." She said.

"...."

"They will also continue to pose a threat to the entire continent now that the dark continent has returned. You are among the chosen, which is why the world tree sent you here." Lily continued.

"*Mumble* One of the chosen." I got up and focused on creating powerful magic. I took a deep breath to call forth a magical being. And the whole forest was illuminated. When I opened my eyes and let go of my breath, I noticed a bunny kneeling in front of me.

"You called me, my lord."

"This is my butler, Calliste. Because he is the best at lying, he is the ideal candidate to be an undercover slave.*sips tea*."

"*Fake cough* I'm not good at lying, my lord." Callis disapproved on my statement.

"Well, you did it a hundred times." I quickly answered.

"..."

"...."

"Then it's settled. Calliste will be the one acting as the slave." I said and clapped my hands once.

"....."

"Good luck Mr. Calliste. I hope you will do a good job since a thousand lives are at stake right now." Lily trying to cheer him up.

"But I need to take care of Alexio." Callis tried to make an excuse but I immediately cut him off.

"Don't worry, Ellen gave me permission already, and Xaithus, and the others will do a good job protecting that place."

"...."

"Now, let's start." I said.

Drages POV

"Pierce, did you find him?" Pierce shook his head and exhaled deeply.

As the Black Panther tribe's heir, my name is Drage Sawyer, and I'm a beastman. And now we find ourselves in the kingdom of Elyarus.

"That's strange. We just saw him walking down the back alley." That is Pierce Quentine, a whale beast-man and the successor of the Whale tribe.

"Maybe he used teleportation to escape." He is Leighton Cantrell, a Lion Beastman.

"That would be impossible since you need a high level of magic to do that." Oswald Angus, who is also a Lion Beast-Man.

"It's possible since he's not an ordinary human." And he is Seymour Baines, a Wolf beast-men.

And right now, we are looking for that person who we encountered at the inn.

"Did you find him?" When we turned around, we saw Raziel, the Viridian Inn's receptionist.

"No, we couldn't even track his scent," Seymour said, and the four of us agreed.

"Scent?"

"Yes, his scent is rather strange." I said.

"What kind of scent do humans have?" Raziel tilted her head as she questioned us.

"Most humans have a sour, bitter, and sweet scent radiating in their body." Leighton.

"However, the Crown Prince of Lustina's scent had a light and calm scent. The smell of the Slythana Imperial crown prince is both cool and venomous. The fragrance of the Princess of Elyarus is soft and fruity. Because he is half-elf and half-human, the prince of Rathian has a strong smell and a forest. Additionally, our Crown Princess of Angora smells strong along with a refreshing scent." Pierce said.

"Then what about that guy?" Raziel asked again.

"Hmmm..... How should we explain it to you?" They nodded in agreement with what I said.

"He has a unique scent radiating from his body." I continued.

"What kind of scent?"

"We can't tell, but his scent seems very familiar." said Pierce.

"I agree." And the others also agreed with what I was saying.

"*Sigh* How about we head back to the inn and wait for the princess to return?" I said.

"That's a great idea," Leighton said, and we headed back to the inn to have a rest and wait for the princess of Elyarus to come.

We've been looking for that guy for an entire day, but we can't even find him. And it was the first time we were interested in a human.

It's as if his presence was a threat to this continent, but it is not. His aura is powerful enough to compete with the crown princes and crown princesses on this continent.

The only issue, though, is that he isn't leveling up. In contrast to the princes and princesses who seem to level up every minute and every second, it appears that his powers are limitless.

The strangest thing of all is that nature protects him. The trees and flowers react to his presence when he goes downstairs. The vines were hiding under his lap from us, even when he spoke to Raziel. The most peculiar aspect is that he departed without noticing the vines.

'Knock, knock.'

"Come in." The door opened, and I saw Seymour.

"The princess is here." I sighed and stood up. I followed Seymour as we went to the first floor. We saw a girl wearing a cloak and sitting on a chair.

We gently lowered our heads as a sign of respect.

"We greet the princess, Rhyne Althee Elyarus."
