Chapter 67: Strange Things We Do

I was deadbeat. After taking the specimens to the laboratory in Massachusetts and a short interesting conversation with the lab director, I was flying back to Sterling Pack. It was almost midnight and my mind's occupied with the conversation I shared with my UIA supervisor, Allan. A werewolf and happily mated, living in Nigeria. 

The phone call was eighty percent checking about my well-being and twenty percent about the antidote.  He was really invested in me, a rejected werewolf, because he thinks it was unfair of the goddess to pair me with someone already in a relationship. He said I was a wonderful person, and didn't deserve it. But then again, we will never have it easy. Allan became my family for three years along with her sweet, sweet wife Nhala.
