Defiance Ended
Shit, Absolute Shit. This was what the King looked, smelled and honestly probably felt like. But the Assassins were another story, the three of them got caught before they were supposed to, and fucked everything up. Now he had to stick to canon rather than force it himself. It coming naturally wasn't bad it's just that it was full it's own problems.
But with the Defiance over and Gerold's Ashara pregnant he had to also hope for the future being better than it was. He'd planned on impregnating Janna first, but this cocked it all up, perhaps this was George Martin telling him somethings were off limits and others would just turn ties up? The guy inserted himself as a Maester once before after all.
Gerold presently was sat in his tent before his father as they discussed how the situation had unbalanced the King.

''We should probably prepare for a storm, the King seems lost and with Rhaegar Wed, we need an alternative solution, we could try Baratheon but Lord Robert seems to be eying Lord Rickard's Daughter. That leaves us precious few profitable outcomes.'' Gerold says.
''One way or another Rhaegar will Marry Cersei, even if I have to kill that whore myself.'' Tywin says resolutely.
''Do it leading up to childbirth father, it will be less suspicious that way. And Pycelle's our man through and through.'' Gerold suggests.
''Poison her?'' Asks Tywin.
''Not fully, but enough to weaken her to the point Childbirth would kill her.'' Gerold amends, because she dies that leaves the Crowns future uncertain and more so if it's a girl she births. Rhaegar needs a wife to maintain an Alliance, but Gerold has made his decision, Rhaegar can hang, Robert's his man and it's better to take the Devil you know over the one that you don't. Rhaegar's a wildcard, an unknown, thus Robert is the lesser evil of the two. In killing off Laenora Gerold hopes that by Harrenhall Lyanna would catch Rhaegar's eye.
''I'll take it under advisement, for now return to Casterly Rock and see to your wife. I want a grandson Gerold.'' Tywin says sharply.
''I understand father.'' Gerold says, bowing his head resolutely

Gerold was saddling his horse, getting ready to depart when a voice stopped him.
''You have my thanks Ser Lionheart, those talents of yours seem wasted at Casterly Rock however, I'd value your Council here in the Crownlands.'' Rhaegar complimented.
''I'd like to my Prince, but I'd really rather not run the risk of offending Ser Arthur and The Mother herself when my Wife is with Child and my Father commanded me home. In a few years perhaps, as this allows me to mature as well as learn more, then and only then I fear my use to you shall be worth the effort.'' Gerold replies, sending a sly glance at Ser Arthur.
''Aye, I can understand that.'' Says Rhaegar.
''Ser Barristan, Ser Arthur, Prince Rhaegar, I bid you each a warm goodbye.'' Gerold says inclining his head towards each of the three men.
''Well My Prince, is he worth it? Is Gerold Lannister worth the trouble?'' Asks Ser Barristan.
''He's devoted to his family, keeps his Oaths, and has a talent not seen since King Jaehaerys The First. Let us determine my Father's stability first. I won't make any moves without my Hand, nor will I choose my hand if my Father is stable." Says Rhaegar.

The Dawn of the Last Calm Before The Storm was on the horizon. As for Ashara and her grown belly, she had born him Twins, a Girl and....a Boy. The light in Janna's eyes had faded just a little bit when the boy was delivered. More so when she herself gave him a Second Son.
His First Son he named Cerion, after King Cerion Lannister, one of the first Lannister King's following the Coming of the Andals. Cerion's Twin Sister he named Anna, a shortened form of his mother's name. The Missing letters weren't lost on his Mother. The Son he sired on Janna he named Tybolt, after King Tybolt Lannister, one of the original Lannister King's of their First Men Lineage.
Gerold had also had children by Bellegere two Sons and two more daughters, his first son by Belle, he named Tyland, his Second Son he named Lyonel. His and Bellegere's girls were called Tya and Cerissa.
Gerold had limited his extramarital affairs to Bellegere, though he did Wed her in a secret ceremony, so it technically didn't count as an affair any longer. They simply got a Septon Drunk and fed him to the lions afterwards. No way Tywin would find out like he did with Tyrion.
Gerold Made sure that his wives were balanced out, they each got two nights alone with him, with one night being the four of them together in bed fucking.
Gerold had to admit, he was more hesitant in the idea of getting in the Rebellion now that he was a Father. Gerold had taken up Jousting in his spare time. He wasn't an ace in the Lists by any means, but he was still good enough to be a fairly decent Tourney Knight.
Gerold sat at his desk as he looked at the letter in his hands. Laenora was deathly ill, she'd birthed Rhaegar a Daughter and when delivering their second child, she was weak and feverish. Gerold knew this would likely be a causative action, forcing him to take action, so he sent word to his Essos Network to start the process of bringing in the Unsullied.
It'd take time, but Gerold felt ready, more ready than he'd ever been, and admittedly just a little bit more than slightly hesitant too...The Calm Before The Storm was nesting its Final Chapter and verse....

Theragfromthecrag Oh boy I have been so fucked in the last week. Got steuck with a nasty flu, hay fever and a resultant lack of sleep.
At most two more chapters before it goes to shit, assuming I don't end up getting worse than I am it probably won't be more. I'm honestly not in a good place right now, so for the sake of my sanity give me a good 16 hours before you hit me with comments.
