"Please feel at home. Would you like some drinks first?"

Hans quietly observed Chess' face while completely ignoring his words. He wanted to see if there's even a little bit of recognition on it, but Chess have always been a good pretender, so he can't really tell.

Still, Hans wanted to believe that Chess is just faking this act.

Cale, on the other hand, made all the talking.

"It's fine. Could we go straight to baking?"

Chess quietly glanced at the too comfortable Cale before leading them to the kitchen. The moment they entered the place, Hans roamed his eyes around and was slightly amazed by the neatly organized things.

Then, he noticed something.

"These appliances are all new." He stated, his words reaching Chess' ears.

Chess then turned to look at him, his eyes still void of any emotion.

"That's right. Me and my mother just arrived to this place a few days ago."
