"We have many friends and relatives back in the Philippines," says Grandpa Jess Gusman.
"So I'm hoping the wedding will be held there so our relatives can attend. I hope you will comply with the elderly man's request; I, too, wanted my granddaughter to be one of the flower girls." He said it with a half smile, thoroughly embarrassed for making the request.
Ashley went over to her father and linked her arms around him. "Dad, don't worry...We intend to do so. We haven't quite reached that point in our conversation yet." She grinned adoringly and warmly.
"Yes, Grandpa Jess, we had talked about it too. The wedding is scheduled for next month, and planning is well underway. Ashley would be in charge of the invitations for your family, and I'm in charge of ours." Ann interjected, which made Grandpa Jess happy.
Once that was settled, they discussed more essential details before the men complained that they were starving.
