Chapter 216: Shadow Of Hope

Ann entered the room as Akira was ready to argue with her father. Her look was one of concern as she assessed the scene before her.

"Any news?" Ann asked quietly, her gaze moving between Tanaga and Akira.

"I managed to contact Dr. Garcia, but there's an issue. For treatment, he would have to be flown to Stonasia. He is unable to attend here since he is currently seeing a pregnant patient and cannot leave her. He is afraid he may be unable to arrive in time if she has an issue. He said that since she is a relative, he cannot leave her behind in any circumstance."

Tanaga shook his head after explaining the situation to her.

"We'll accompany him. We are at a loss for options if Dr. Garcia is the only person who can assist. I don't care what it takes. Even if I have to move to Stonasia, I will do that." Ann said with determination.

Akira nodded, but terror tightened in her chest. She gave Jeffrey another quick look, got up, and gathered her belongings.
