Chapter 149: Sacrifice - 1

"Here to mock us?" Akito asked, his body trapped in a web but the other was still struggling to get out of it. Jess did not struggle but she did look determined as well. Her eyes dropped at certain intervals but she picked herself up pretty fast.

"I'm here to help actually" They both were fighting and they did not believe his words. And then, another earthquake shook their world and they both were sent flying inside it even further.

"He's here to help he says. Sorry if I don't seem to believe you just yet" the female mocked back, her eyes flashing in warning as he moved forward. She did not believe in his good intentions and he got that. He would have prefered it more if she was not the one who was saying this though. Her track record was not that clean in his book.
