Chapter 16: The story's first proofs of foreign interferences!
The lessons at the institute were held two times in a week, the rest of the free time was used as the students wished to. Some would use the different training grounds, some would accumulate knowledge at the library and others would simply laze off.
It was on one of those days that Wang Wei decided to 'visit' his 'male friends' to 'support' them on their first time being away from home. He 'encouraged' them plenty and made sure that they were on the right path.
His 'instinct' was on high alert as it was kept informing him that he was being spied on. Wang Wei didn't paid it any mind. He have now countless enemies and wasting his time on every single one of them would be an endless task.
The next lesson was met by a heartwarming sight. Ziyun and Ning'er seemed like sisters. They appeared as close as ever. Everything seems going according to Wang Wei's plan.
Wang Wei initially wanted to keep himself out of the story's way. He had made his mind to bury inside of him any desire to stole the spotlight and even abandoned any thoughts about the different heroines.
Unfortunately or fortunately, it all depends on people's view, any plan and resolution were thrown out of the window upon going through the class's door.
Upon the sight of 6 people standing at the back of the class everything went red and he could no longer act the way he planned to.
Gone was the non interfering policy, gone was the non stealing sin of coveting someone's wife or wives.
His instinct was urging him, it was commanding him to act upon his name and rule without sharing resources, intel or women.
It was at the end of the day that Wang Wei finally reflected on his actions and for the first time began to have doubts.
Something was influencing, no, something was manipulating him into a certain way of acting.
Was it his truly self finally manifesting? Was it his desire to monopolize everything? Did the person or entity behind his 'rebirth' pointing him toward the path of an obsessive pervert?
But in the end does it matter to him? It seems that he had some 'objectives' to fulfill, and whatever the reason was, for now, as long as he keeps the little amount of control he has now, he would do it his way until he could 'regain control'.
He needed to collect all possible glory's city holes? He would capture them while being a perfect gentleman.
He needs to hinder Nie Li's ascension? He would perform the task as methodically as possible.
This was his new form of evolution : The gentleman's psychopath or The psychopath's gentleman. Whatever was more classy.
And what would a perfect gentleman's psycopath do? Playing the role of the bad guy while seeming like a good guy but still being a complete a son of a bitch and a bastard at heart. His plan was perfect with no flaws and he was salivating to taste the fruit of his labor.
