Chapter 21: All his smiles are mine
He was a tall and lean man. He was attractive with sharp features. His skin was fair and spotless. He was wearing black pants and a white shirt. Trevor looked at him approaching them with just one thought in his mind 'my man is definitely the best', they could tell that he was an Alpha by the smell of his pheromones. The man seem gentle but if you looked at him more intently in his eyes, you could see a little cunning attempt in it.Trevor frowned when seeing that the man was coming closer to their table.
He prayed that he was coming for Sammy because he didn't have the energy to deal with someone pestering him. Plus Max was coming he didn't want him to have any misunderstandings about the situation. But he knew deep down that the man was surely coming for him Sammy being a dominant alpha. He sighed already thinking about how he should reject the man without causing to much outburst. Being an omega wasn't a pleasure all day long.
Sammy looked at the man with pity, thinking that the poor guy didn't stand a little chance with Trevor, her cousin being hotter and handsome than him, plus she could already tell that Trevor was in love with Max by the way he always smiles when he heard his name.
To avoid problems and now knowing about Trevor situation, Sammy message her security guard to be alert if anything happened. She knew that Max should be there soon but as the saying you can never be too careful.
The man was soon standing in front of their table trying to get near Trevor who was sitting with his back at the wall to be able to see what was coming to him. As the man was about to past through Sammy she turn to looked at him shielding a little Trevor.
Trevor heart moved seeing how his friend was being all protective. He only could smile looking at Sammy back.
" Can I do something for you?" Sammy asked folding her arms looking at the man straight in the eyes.
"Not you, but the beautiful man behind you" The man simply replied with a eyebrow raised smiling.
Sammy only rolled her eyes at that smile, "well this beautiful man like you can see is already with me here. He doesn't need another company." She blurted out coldly.
Seeing how all protective Sammy was, the man was even more interesting in him. He had always take it as a challenge to steal an omega from a Alpha especially from a dominant one. He was sure about his seductive charm and was certain that he could win the omega heart seeing how already he was smiling brightly at him. He thought Sammy was Trevor 's patener as she was really in defensive state even realising her pheromones, something she don't usually do.
She knew that Trevor was beautiful and as an omega unfortunately he was bound to be bother by people. Plus, now knowing that he had this weird illness, she could not let this man come next to him. For sure they would not have that kind of little problems if Trevor was already mark by Max.
She sighed getting up to match the heigh of the troublemaker. Indeed as a dominant alpha Sammy was tall, she as the same heigh with Trevor who was abnormally tall for an omega and the man in front of her wasn't that tall, he was just about five centimetres taller.
Sammy just gently chuckled "and if I say you can't talk to him unless I say so? What do you think you can do about that?" She was looking directly in the other man eyes, who feel a little intimidate he had to admit.
But having already decided that Trevor was his new target, he grinned "I'm not here for you anyway! And looking at the way your man is smiling at me, I think he is more interested in me…"
Saying that he pushed Sammy to walked toward Trevor. Sammy frowned and turn in disbelief looking at Trevor who was indeed smiling. 'Heck what is going on Trey don't smile at this losy man! I don't want Max to slaughter me!' She though.
The man who was even more in happy mood was about to reach Trevor hand when an Icy voice came behind him, making him stopped his actions midway.
"You should not think so much about yourself!" Max said getting beside Trevor "All his smile are directed toward me!" He added with a smirked.
Hearing Max cold voice, Trevor was a little taken aback. Ever since he had started to live with him, Max had always talked to him with a warm tone, usually Max's voice was deep and very pleasant to the ears, but now his voice was deeper and somber sending chill down every people beside him. Oddly Trevor was liking it and even started to get aroused.
Knowing all the change in Trevor scent Max only chuckled looking at his man "babe, can't you wait till we get home?" He tease Trevor who just respond with a seductive smile getting up and giving his man a light kiss.
Pheromones have indeed different scent dependind on certain mood. when a person is angry, aroused, happy, his smell will slighly change.
Sammy was dumbmonth not knowing what was happening "are they communicate with their mind or what?" she thought. She didn't see or feel Max coming, she was so engrossed in dealing with the stupid guy... and now it was like she was a intruder looking at two lovebird lost in their world as they were looking so lovingly at each other in a tight embrace.
Max didn't like being in that pub, and he wasn't liking even more Trevor being in there with all those men gushing at him with their lustful thoughts. He took his hand to walked out when he remember the man still standing in front of them. Sammy had long ago sitten back drinking and enjoying the view of two people in love.
Max just looked at the man in front of him from head to toes with one eyebrow up. The man in front of him was not a match for him. But he knew how alphas could be cunning when they wanted something it was a trait he didn't like. But he didn't want to make a scene in a bar, so he chose to just walk out tighnening his grip on Trevor hand.
When he was about to pass the man, he heard him chuckled. Max and Trevor turned sumltanely toward him, and Sammy just smirked knowing that a little show would started soon.
"Why act so protective about someone who isn't even yours? if you can't mark him I'll be happy to do that." The man said with a smirk.
Max just looked at him with a bore expression. As he wanted to answer, he felt Trevor hand tightening in his. He know his man wasn't a weak one and he understood that he didn't want him to say a thing. He wanted to handle the man himself.
