Chapter 41: Brutal Beatdown
Gwen had a strong desire to stay. Whether it was before or now, she had always been fascinated by extraordinary events. She asked, "Andrew, is it dangerous to stay?"
Andrew smiled and replied, "Don't worry, it's not a big deal. After all, he is just Magneto."
There's a significant disparity in power.
In the comics Magneto, and in the movie version Magneto.
Upon hearing this, Psylocke couldn't help but give Andrew a glance. Thinking he was too arrogant. By not taking Magneto seriously?
Gwen naturally believed Andrew. Surprised, she asked, "Magneto is weak?"
Andrew said, "I've seen Magneto's battle videos. He only knows how to manipulate metal with magnetism."
Psylocke felt a little annoyed and said,"Magneto can kill you ten thousand times,with just a flick of his finger."
Andrew smiled and remained silent, while Psylocke snorted and turned her gaze back to the battlefield, where both sides were facing each other.
Professor Charles Xavier spoke to Magneto, saying, "Eric, while things haven't escalated, leave."
"Why would I come here, If I have to leave."
Magneto coldly stated, "Today, not only I will take the girl with me, but also show everyone that mutants are gods. And we don't need saving. We have only one thing to do, and that is to overthrow humanity and establish our own mutant nation."
As Magneto spoke, dozens of cars around his lifted into the air simultaneously, causing everyone to gasp in astonishment. Then, he threw the cars crashing back to the ground.
This was Magneto demonstrating his god-like power!
Professor Xavier said, "Eric, mutants are also humans."
Magneto pointed to the people who had taken photos earlier and asked loudly, "Charles, tell me, when those people look at mutants, do they see fellow beings or animals?"
Professor Xavier sighed. At that moment, Wolverine stepped forward fiercely and asked, "Your target isn't me, is it?"
"No you little fool."
Magneto raised his hand, causing Logan's adamantium claws to uncontrollably emerge and rest against Rouge's neck. Rouge was shocked and asked in a hurry, "Logan, what are you doing?"
"I'm being controlled."
Logan struggled desperately, but he couldn't regain control of his hand. As a being made entirely of adamantium, controlled by Magneto, he was at a disadvantage.
"Erik, stop!"
Professor Xavier used his powers to signal Colossus to grab Magneto's neck, but Magneto was prepared. With a wave of his hand, Colossus, who was bound by chains, was sent flying.
Then, Magneto sneered coldly, causing all the guns in the hands of the police, agents, and soldiers to fly out of their palms and point back at them.
There was a collective gasp, and many police officers raised their hands in surrender. Coulson cursed under his breath, wishing he had brought plastic guns.
Thinking of something, Coulson glanced at Andrew, who was calmly drinking coffee. He knew Andrew wouldn't take action and couldn't help but sigh.
"Useless human weapons."
Magneto sneered, then tapped his helmet and said, "Charles, with this, you can't control me."
Seeing that Magneto had gained control of the situation, Toad walked towards Rouge. Jean Grey wanted to use her telekinesis to stop Toad, but at that moment, a gunshot suddenly rang out.
Jean quickly turned her head towards the direction of the sound and saw a bullet suspended in front of a police officer's forehead, causing the officer's face to turn pale with fear.
Professor Xavier signaled for Jean to stop. He asked, "Eric, what do you want with Rouge?"
"Of course, to fulfill the great cause of mutants. Charles, let us leave, otherwise, these police officers and the surrounding civilians will all die."
As he spoke, Magneto controlled the guns and aimed them at the nearby civilians. Since Andrew was close, a gun was pointed directly at his head.
Professor Xavier looked helpless. He was about to compromise when Andrew said, "Magneto, move the gun away and apologize. We'll consider this matter settled. Otherwise, you can bear the consequences."
Andrew originally didn't want to intervene. Mutants fighting and killing each other had nothing to do with him. But as the King of Hell, if he didn't do something when someone pointed a gun at him, how could he go out in the future?
Andrew didn't have Mephisto's thick skin.
Magneto couldn't help but laugh at Andrew's words. "This is humanity—foolish and arrogant."
Psylocke also shared the same thought. Only Coulson was ecstatic. Magneto could have easily taken Rouge away, but unfortunately, he had made a big mistake.
"Well then, let's have some fun."
Andrew stood up, and a silent umbrella appeared in his hand. Gwen commented, "There it is, Schrödinger's umbrella."
"Inferior creatures."
Magneto sneered, then controlled the guns and opened fire. Andrew dodged sideways, and in an instant, he appeared next to Magneto as if teleporting. The umbrella came down on Magneto's head with a fierce strike.
"So fast."
Magneto's gaze slightly narrowed, but he wasn't afraid. He multitasked, using magnetic forces to control the umbrella in Andrew's hand while using another magnetic force to block it with his cape.
The cape was made of a special flexible alloy, and combined with Magneto's magnetism, not even a rocket launcher could break through.
To Magneto's surprise, he couldn't control the metal inside the umbrella. Then, the umbrella struck hard against the cape, causing the cape to quickly dent and collide with Magneto's helmet. Magneto was sent flying and tumbled on the ground.
Before Magneto could regain his senses, Andrew appeared by his side like a teleportation, and the umbrella fell like raindrops, creating a continuous pounding sound.
Andrew coldly snorted, "A god? You think you're worthy?"
Magneto was infuriated. He wanted to counterattack, but his opponent's speed was too fast. He couldn't gather his strength and could only passively take the beating. Fortunately, his injuries weren't too severe as his opponent's blows lack strength.
The surrounding people watched in shock. That was Magneto, America's most wanted criminal, being beaten like a grandchild by a young man? How cruel was that scene? Shocking—a seventy-year-old man publicly beaten by a young man with an umbrella, and the surrounding people not only didn't intervene, but also cheered loudly. Was this a loss of morality or a distortion of humanity?
"Eric."
Professor Xavier couldn't bear to watch anymore, and Rouge and Wolverine cheered loudly in their hearts.
Rouge looked at Andrew with shining eyes. He was so cool.
Psylocke's mouth dropped open as if she could fit an egg inside. Who on earth was that kid? How could he be so strong when he wasn't even a martial arts master?
