Chapter 42: Katrina

Malik opened the door for Rylie when she texted her arrival. “Did you bring the clothes I asked for?” he asked.

Rylie held up the bag and came in and she stopped dead in her steps, eyes wide as she saw the corpse of a woman that looked alarmingly like Vanessa, dressed in a 17th century dress. At least the hair and the skin were similar. “Malik, what did you do?” she demanded.

“Relax Rylie, it’s not Vanessa.”

“This is Katrina?”

He nodded, “Yes, it is.”

“How has she stayed so…fresh?”

“I didn’t kill Katrina in the way anyone thinks.”

Rylie furrowed her brows, “Just how did you do it?”

“I didn’t drink her blood or anything like that. I wasn’t brutal enough to rip her apart either. Before I went after Katrina, I did some personal research. All I did was fight her and I stole her gun from her.”

Rylie looked at him in confusion, “Wait, you killed her with her own gun?”
