Chapter 47: A Bolt From The Blue

Heaving a sigh, General Rhen straightened. His glaze fleeted from Charlotte to Violet who watched him with concern on their faces.

"I met him recently. We didn't talk much though" Charlotte said to Violet.

"Who's this?" General Rhen asked Charlotte, his gaze locking with the Sapphiran's indigo gaze.

"Her name's Violet, she's a friend of mine. Violet, this is General Rhen" Charlotte said.

The general winced, wiping the corner of his mouth with his sleeve.

"This is quite a terrible first impression, don't you think so ... Violet?" He said and she gave him an apologetic smile.

"It's a little awkward, but not entirely terrible. I mean...it could be worse" Violet stated with a smile on her face.

General Rhen beamed.

"Are you feeling better now?" Violet questioned.

"Strangely, yes I do" was his response.

"That's great. Let's take a walk, shall we?" Violet said and he nodded slowly.
