(Rogar Arryn POV)

---------------------------------

Rogar was in the Royalists Camp, it'd been six long months since laying the groundwork with the Order of Artys to sabotage the Duskendale Defenses when Ser Barristan Selmy would inevitably scale the battlements to rescue The Mad King.

During this time he'd been training crazily with Ser Barristan Selmy, Ser Arthur Dayne, Lord-Commander Hightower, and Ser Jonothor Darry. At least when Lord-Commander Hightower was available to train with that was, since for the most part Ser Arthur and Ser Barristan were Rogar's primary Sparring Partners.

Ser Jonothor Darry was content to occasionally join, preferring to sit back and observe before joining the fray suddenly and without warning. He'd expanded his Arsenal so to speak, making use of an assortment of extra and additional weapons when an opportunity to take a bite out of his opponents defense presented itself. He used Daggers, Dirks, Caltrops, and Stilettos to great affect. He had also taken to experimenting with Poisons, finding a preference for a mixture of Spotted Manticore Venom, Sweetsleep, Wolfsbane, and Widow's Blood. The Formula being a closely guarded secret that only him and Oberyn knew how to produce and cure.

The Spotted Manticore Venom extended the agony and staved off the sweet kiss of death by several days, The Widow's Blood when mixed with Sweetsleep shut down the bladder rather than cause the victim to drown in it's own poisons causing their bowels to overload on fluids and when it overloads completely the Wolfsbane kills them at long last, and he hadn't used this against the Kingsguard obviously.

He sat alone while Lord Tywin and his War Council discussed their options.

''We can't wait any longer, Lord Denys will be given one day to release the King before I give the order to storm the town. Rogar will your mercenaries come through for us?'' Asks Tywin.

''For One Hundred and Five Thousand Gold Dragons all of which has to be paid in Silver Stags they'll poison the Garrison and destroy the controls holding up the Bridge. I just need a day and an evening to signal them. I'll have the minstrels play and the Garrison will die in their beds and the main gate will fall.'' Says Rogar as he idly begins sharpening his Knives and Daggers and shit with a whetstone.

''Lord Hand, I beg of you, delay by just a day to give me a chance to infiltrate the City and rescue The King, if I fail then if nothing else I will take as many of them.'' Ser Barrristan pleads.

''It's not a terrible idea Lord Tywin. My Mercenaries could get us a few uniforms to sneak into the Castle. Ser Barristan and I could slip in and free the King while the castle sleeps, or alternatively take Lord Denys Son's and Heirs hostage and force him to capitulate if we threaten to Hang them for every hour he refuses to surrender.'' Says Rogar.

''No, Save my father.'' Rhaegar orders.

''As you with my Prince.'' Says Rogar as he stops sharpening his Knives, Dirks, Daggers and Stilettos after Lord Tywin bows his head to the Crown Prince's Order.

---------------------------------

With the Monetary compensation promised he was now positioned to fund a search for Valyrian Steel in Essos. By using Silver Stags it'd be simple to exchange them for Gold Dragons and back again through several different banks and moneylenders before creating such a complex and convoluted trail that not even Varys could track the money

See Silver Stags were generic, unlike Gold Dragons which were minted at one of the Three Royal Mints of Westeros and had unique identifiers allowing them to be tracked accordingly, Silver Stags were Practically untraceable. The Three Royal Mints were located at Lannisport, Oldtown, and of course King's Landing itself, but only Oldtown's Royal Mint produced Silver Stags and not Gold Dragons and and/or Silver Stags.

So by asking for Silver Stags it are tracing the route of changing hands supremely more difficult.

''Are you ready?'' Ser Barrristan Asks the young Rogar whose twelve years seem unreal when looking at his maturity and thoughts.

''Ser Barrristan is it a good idea? What we're doing? King Aerys has always had his quirks, but I worry for his mental health if he's been in a cell these many months. Forgive me, I grow weary of this conflict, let us rescue The Mad Hatter.'' Says Rogar.

''Is that supposed to be a compliment or not?'' Asks Barristan who never really paid attention to the cultural arts in his long life.

''You'll find out won't you? After this is done, you'll see a lot of mind blowing theatrics.'' Says Rogar as he makes a mental note to produce a cultural Renaissance by making the Westerosi equivalent of Shakespeare, The Odyssey, and Lewis Carroll Come to the GoT. Of course it was to sere as a front for certain things but for now time to save Aerys, as shit of an idea that it was when one inevitably saw in hindsight a few years or so later.....

But this was a necessary evil for eventual long term success and reward which would prove vital in the days and months to come. He'd ask for something that could either fuck everything up or make things interesting and possibly easier, and Honestly either one was probably not a good or terrible idea...hehe all jokes aside he had two things he really needed and one that he probably wanted more than he actually genuinely needed at all..

CREATORS' THOUGHTS

This originally was gonna be the usual stuff, but I decided to throw in something else, now next chapter will start off mid rescue before turning sideways at which point it'll Flashback to just a little bit after where this chapter left off.

Gonna try and slate two chapters for release next, but that could take a week or two. I've also got to help Bova with his things as I do touch up work for him.

Anyway... It's short I know but....

Creation is hard, cheer me up! VOTE for me!
