Growing up, Cardan had believed that it was just the nature of the heavenly realm. The humans never wondered about the existence of the moon or sun and just like that, the beings in heaven had no reason to ponder about the absence of the moon, or the presence of the stars.
Cardan glanced at Rezeph, the question in his eyes apparent as the man's words got his attention.
Rezeph supported the side of his head with two fingers as he spoke, ''The stars in the heavenly realm are not stars.''
His words descended in the sea court followed by a lingering silence that was filled with tension.
He observed their response before opening his mouth to speak again, ''A long time ago…''
