Chapter 330: A reflection of Rezeph

Even Esme's revelation had not shaken him to that extent. He had always prided himself on being the most intelligent person. He had prided himself on the fact that he had used every other person in the royal court as his pawn. Day by day, year after year, he had approached his goal, the throne of Defire. 

But it was as if all this while, he was the pawn all along. 

The choice that they made was to become the King's sacrifice and new face.

He thought he was cruel but the ruthlessness that he heard of sent shivers down his spine. 

Like a moth to the flame, he had approached the throne slowly, never realizing that he was walking towards his own doom while coveting it. 

The revelation shook him to the core. 

''I do not believe it,'' Jeremiah swung his hand with a strong force, sending a wave of black flames that aimed straight at Rezeph's forehead. 

''Father!" Esme rushed forward, only to be held back tightly in Aleister's arms.
