Chapter 100: Chapter 100 - Daughters of Darkness

Clara turned to the Darkness, grinning, her feral eyes hungry for what she saw pulsing there at the edge of the woods. Selina’s body lay motionless on the ground, the only obstacle in the way finally eliminated. The Darkness was free, just as the High Priestess promised. It didn’t even need a host!

“No!” Cherise’s cry ripped the night.

Turning, Clara saw Nicole back up, her power at her fingertips, eyes wide. Cherise raced to her daughter, tears streaming down her face as she rolled Selina over. Clara stood there, drinking it all in, feeling the rage swirl around her. With determination, she stepped toward the Darkness.

“No!” Cherise roared. “Don’t go near it, Clara. Not until we get it back under control. Stand back. Now!” Her voice trembled, anger and grief in her tone.
