"Let it be for now. Your father spent quite an effort to dig it," Donovan smiled sarcastically.

"The traitor will get the punishment," he added.

"I don't think my father is doing this on his own. Someone must have threatened him," Jade still couldn't believe that her father would do such a thing.

"Do you think lord Gracia can be threatened?" Donovan raised his eyebrows. Despite all the odds, Jade's father was one of the men who people feared. He held quite a lot of power in the kingdom and that was the reason King Zachary wanted to marry Donovan to Jade.
