Chapter 15: The King's invitation
"The King is calling for me! What do you mean, Nanny Ai?" said Theo, her eyebrows furrowed.
Nanny Ai sweats were rolling down from her cheeks, her eyelids down and wrinkles on her forehead.
She said while gasping, "As soon as Mr. Castillo informed the king about your current situation, his majesty send an invitation for you to have an audience with him".
Theo's left brow raised as she gave it a thought, her lips pressed and eyes stuck at a same point, "Is it a bad thing? I researched on the king and he doesn't seemed to be as mad as his son!" she replied.
Nanny Ai shook her head, she was having a worried face but at the same time she was having a hard time to convey the situation.
She bit her lips while staring down and said, "He is kind to his people, but young master, you need to make sure that you don't reveal your talent, otherwise it will be hard for your father to deal with the situation".
Theo nodded but she was still confused. She was trying to understand the reason behind Nanny Ai nervousness.
"I know that much! It was my fault that I didn't hid it from the Prince, but since he have promised to keep this fact a secret, I am not going to reveal it either," she said.
Nanny Ai was still worried as if she was hiding something more serious "What can be the matter?" Theo thought while looking at her nervous face.
She stepped forward and passed by Theo, "Then we should pack our stuffs, since once we reach the capital of Valmanchal, there is no saying ,that when we will get to return back".
As she started to pack, Theo didn't budged and stood where she was with a serious face.
"Nanny Ai, if you are hiding something then it will be better for you to tell me before something goes wrong and we all ends up in trouble," said Theo and turned back.
Her hands stopped which were picking the clothes and she peeked Theo with her lowered eyelids.
"Young master, ..its.. that… I mean.. that the King is the first reason as to why you are hiding your real gender. You were 10, when his majesty saw you, at that time your body was not developed, but now if he founds out about such a big truth, he will exterminate the whole Castillo family," she said while stuttering.
Theo knitted her brow, the word exterminate stabbed her heart as she remembered the moment when the previous monarch of her world passed his words to behead her family.
She clenched her fist and breathed out furiously as she said, "First reason! Exactly, how many people are causing trouble for me?".
Nanny Ai eyes didn't looked up and she said, "Young master, please do not force me to answer these questions. Only Sir have the right to tell you".
Theo signed and pressed her forehead in distress, "Ok, I got it, but do we need to go right away?".
She nodded and started packing Theo's bag.
Suddenly an amusing thought ran through her mind "Since I was called by his majesty, then there is no way he could stop me, neither he would come with me since he is hiding right now. So, that's mean, that I will be away from him even for a day. Finally I will have some peace away from that psycho".
She smirked while having that thought.
Capital of Valmanchal – Negoir:
A spacious room with a nice layout, a glassy curtain on one end which gave a similar view as the summer beach.
Velvet sofa set on the opposite side, sat a wrinkled man who seemed to be more older then Theo's father.
His brown eyebrow and thin brown hair gave him a pretty decent look on his sly smile.
Opposite to him sat another person who was wearing a badge that an official of the palace wears.
"Unfortunately, that damn son of that Castillo, have a better luck then we thought. I don't know what happened since all our man disappeared," The man wearing the official badge said while giving off a menace vibe.
The fat man who had a sly smile, chuckled and put down the tumbler glass filled with wine.
"Its not his luck, it's all because of your stupid men who disappeared without leaving a single hint for you. You should have send some reliable men, who could do the work with perfection! Now that the Castillo only heir is moving toward the capital, it will be more hard for you to kill him and take control over the Castillo's assets," he said.
The official badged man gave it a thought and smirked, "How about we kill his son before he reaches Negoir," he said while being jolly.
The fat man bashed his hand on the table, in front of him, "You must be stupid to come up with a similar technique, to kill his son. Do you really believe that Castillo will make a same mistake as to send his son alone this time!".
The badge wearing man gasped, his face eyes down and filled with fear, he bit his thick lips and silently nodded, "You are right, these plans are useless, but if we don't do anything before he meets his majesty, then it will become more hard to conquer the Castillo's wealth".
The fat man laughed loudly and stared the man with badge, with his sly eyes, "Come here, I have many plans which can kill his son in one go, and even if he doesn't die, he will again become a mentally disabled person".
As he stopped with his words, they both started to laugh loudly.
Guest house:
"Did you packed your stuffs?" asked Jasper with his tensed voice.
Gird lifted his right corner of lips and made an annoyed face. He was standing behind Jasper with a small luggage in his one hand and a bag on his shoulder.
Jasper was staring outside through the window.
"I did! But why are we going back just because they are leaving? Aren't we hiding?" he asked.
Jasper turned back and leaned on the window.
He was having a smirk on his face and he said, "We were hiding because I was bored of my daily life, but now that I have got an interesting toy, I am sure that my life in the capital will become fun".
Gird pouted while looking down, he was worried and at the same time annoyed by his sudden enthusiasm which seemed to be giving him a heaven wrecking feeling.
"Your highness! Even if you do return back, still, please refrain from showing such an excited face in front of others, or, the people who wants to have a close relationship with you, will definitely hunt the Young master of Castillo family," Gird said.
Jasper raised his eyelids after hearing his word, and said, "I have come to realize one thing! You care for Theo more then me, and it almost feels as if you are working for me just to make sure, that I don't harm others, rather then protecting me".
Gird gulped and looked away while mumbling, "Its true, your father send me to keep an eye on you and protect others from your temper, but he forgot to take me into consideration"
Jasper glared him while frowning, "What nonsense are you saying right now?".
Gird shook his head and ran while holding the bag and luggage, "Your highness, let's go! They are leaving without us".
With a faint smile, Theo stood while staring at the guards who were surrounding her. They all were wearing black outfit with black spectacles and a ear phone.
She felt annoyed but, it was indeed something she could not stop.
"Are they all going with us?" she asked.
Nanny Ai was standing beside her in her traveling outfit, "there are only twenty guard, I still feel that we should include few more guards on our way to Negoir".
Theo silently swallowed while calming herself, "Its ok, I should control myself since right now I am not Della but Theo!" she mumbled and stared at all the black car which was lining up to the exit door of the Mansion.
"How troublesome, if we go like that, it will attract many unwanted attention of enemies!" she said after running out of her calmness.
"But Young master, we got into trouble even though we were alone at that time," Mike said while walking toward her, "But don't worry, Master have ordered me to make sure to keep you safe, so even if we only have twenty people, I will act like a hundred alone".
Theo annoyingly glared at him and turned her gaze away in dismay.
"Well whatever! Until I get to stay away from that psycho Prince, I will go whenever you ask" she said and glanced at Nanny Ai who was tugging her sleeves while staring down.
She felt confused by her sudden change in behavior and turned her gaze toward left, as she heard an unwanted voice.
"As I said earlier, I will keep you beside me no matter where you are, so of course there is no need for you to feel so relieved," Jasper said with a smirk.
