Chapter 257: Pleased in Saderus' Arms

"I see you're not fully human." Grandma White now explained what she saw. Lia asked her a few questions that night. Granny White's hunched back was now leaning against the wooden wall of her house. Moonlight penetrated beautifully.

Lia glanced at Rany, who was currently sitting on a wooden chair. "If I'm not fully human, then what am I, Grandma?" Re-correcting the question, "I mean, what am I other than human?"

Rany shrugged when Lia glanced at her. She became a very calm audience as if she was watching an emotionally draining opera performance.

Grandma White combed Lia's face. Her eyes were blurry, but her vision looked as if she could penetrate even the thickest of walls, like a laser. "I don't know either," she said. "I can't recognize who you are other than your human form." Her eyes were watching again, behind white cataracts. "But more than half of your body looks light. Now there are more and more."

"You mean Grandma?" asked Lia.
