"Rule here...become the King of this place..." Braith said. "You will not be ruling alongside anyone here as I'd gladly step down for you. You will own this realm and reign forever. There is no way that you'd die here as eternity would be a gift to you as well. What say you, My son?"

Seth didn't need to think about what his mother was offering.

"You know that I cannot do that..." said Seth.

"Why not?"

"I can not leave Ruby alone..."

Braith laughed and the burst of laughter confused Seth but he didn't react and just watched and listened for what his mother would say next.

"Because of a woman..." she began. "Because of a woman, you'd let go of power? You'd chose to be in a realm where you could die? You'd turn down immortality?"

"Yes."
