Chapter 46: Unbreakable Oath- 2

"Why are you here?", Ling asked the assassin.

Ling stood up from where he was sitting and began pacing in front of the paralyzed assassin. Waiting for an answer, Ling got none.

He stopped and looked at the man's hideous face.

"I asked you a question. Why are you here?", Ling asked again.

The assassin only looked at him. No expression whatsoever on his face.

Ling looked into his eyes. He couldn't read anything from the man's gaze. [Such an empty soul], Ling thought.

"I see. Let us try this one, who do you work for?", Ling asked again, hoping to get an answer this time.

Nothing.

The wizard walked into an inner room and picked up something that was in a black container, covered with a lid that had a little skull engraved into it. Ling returned to where the assassin laid, opened the container, and blew its contents into the assassin's mouth.

The man's mouth began to tremble. His lips shaking like he was having a seizure.
