Chapter 37: There Must Be Something

In King Sek's Chambers...

Ling had given the queen something to calm her nerves and send her into a deep sleep. The King had refused them to carry his mother to her own chambers. He wanted to watch her by himself and had the maids make his bed comfortable enough for Queen Zyne to sleep in.

"She should sleep her for as long as she wants. I do not understand what is going on", King Sek said more to himself than to any other person.

"She will be fine, My King. Do not worry", Ling said.

"How can you tell me not to worry? Did you see how she reacted to Seth's presence? What is going on between them?"

Ling looked at the king and shook his head. He was clueless too and didn't know the response to give the king... Ling didn't know how to answer King Sek's many questions.

King Sek remembered something, and he said to the wizard, "Come, Ling. Sit with me"
