Chapter 49: HENITH

The tension in the air slowly rose to her chest until she felt a lump on her throat. The quietness of the surrounding area lingers and only the rustling of the leaves that fall and sway were heard.

However, the fear and expectations of what was about to come for the servant looking for Lady Josephine kept on bugging Leticia.

Right then, Leticia and the others heard a purring sound. They looked around and saw that it was near her ankle.

Meow~ Meow~

As Leticia looked down and met eyes with the black cat that roamed around her feet, the cat meow again with its eyes that glowed for a moment.

Huh?

She thought she saw something wrong but before she could confirm it the black cat ran away.

The two assassins just ignored it and pointed the knife at their back. While they gesture to the ladies to move.

'Shit! I thought they're going to wait for that third assassin that went after the servant.' Leticia thought.
