Chapter 122: Dying legacy

"What are you laughing for?" Miss Norma hissed at Prudence. For whatever reasons Vincent always stepped forward to save the girl, this time he let Prudence handle it on her own. It was obvious she was up to something. 

Mr Weasley was smart enough to understand what Prudence was doing but his ego was high enough to blind his mind. Regardless of the fact that Prudence was now viewed as Vincent's girl, Mr Weasley still viewed her as mere stable girl. "Have you no manners girl?" Mr Weasley thundered, "one should know their place especially when sitting with us. Do not forget it is a great privilege you even got to enter inside the race course. Apologies for your behavior." 

Prudence pursed her lips and nodded, "Apologies, I could not hold it back. The thought was a little funny." Her eyes moved to Norma and a restrained smile played on Prudence's lips, "I did not mean to offend."
