Chapter 120: Why?

Prudence finished her breakfast in haste. It was not that she was happy to be heading out with Vincent but excitement for new start. The sooner one got happy about new beginnings, the disappointments usually had a lesser impact. And there was a higher chance of losing the happiness slowly over time. Whatever would be her case, Prudence knew she was going to reignite the flames of her happiness as frequently as she could.

Like in moments like these, which made her feel only a little elated. 

Nicola had helped Prudence with her hair, a beautifully braided updo. As usual, Prudence did not choose to wear a headwear. Her gown trailed behind her with the bunch of fabric that flowed down her bottom, making her fuller from behind. 

She headed down the stairs with a gentle sprint when a dead man appeared in front of her.
