Chapter 17: Deal of the Deity

I am the daughter of the demon lord.

***

"Hush down...

We've come to speak with Deity. We wouldn't want any attention to the other people."

Knite can't help but walk on the leaves on the grounds that are creating a racket. The girls from before told us that the Deity would be staying in the pavilion.

When the wolf drew closer to me, he whimpered, "Shss. Stop making noises. I'm not mad, okay? Just lay down for a while. We have to observe the Deity." Weirdly, I'm talking to a wolf, but he is from this world. That considers him extraordinary, right?

After a few minutes, a swarm of creatures appeared in front of my eyes. My eyes were widened when I saw these creatures very different from what I saw before. Except for their pointed ears, they resemble humans.

They have the same white hair that I have.

"I've heard the Will has gotten himself into a mess when dealing with the Princess." A rumor has begun to circulate.

They are talking about the Will again. I think he plays a massive part in this place though there's a Deity.

"That Princess is a traitor! How could she hurt her own race as if it was nothing!"

What absurdity are they referring to? It wasn't my fault at all. It was the Will himself that forced me to do it. Though I couldn't comprehend what they meant by "hurting my own race."

"Everyone, please calm down. I'm sure the Princess is simply disoriented. The Humans are adept at duping our kind, which is why they got her, right? I'm sure they convinced her that they were her family."

As I took a deep breath, I turned my back on the massive tree nearby.

"I don't think I could possibly understand them. Right, Knite?" Gazing upon Knite, he did the same thing as he tilted his head. "Don't worry. I don't need to understand them. I need to find the Deity and have words with him."

"And what am I be helpful to you…?"

"..!?" I stiffed when someone utterly asked from beside me. I gasped in surprisingness.

"W-who are you, if I may ask?" I still asked him politely. He is smiling at me, but instead of responding, he grabs my wrist.

"H-hey! What are you doing! Let go off me!" I tried on struggling, but this type of body I'm having now won't make any budge.

"Hey, Everyone. I found the Princess." He utterly abides me to the other creatures.

"Grrr! Woof! Woof!" When he did that, Knite became quite upset. He attempted biting this obnoxious creature, but as he glared at him, he flew away from us.

"K-knite!" I shouted worriedly.

"It's the traitor! It's the traitor! Kill her!"

Everyone doesn't like my presence here. They immediately rush over me while flashing some lethal weapon somewhere in the air.

One of them hurled a flying, flaming sword at me. "Ah!" I shouted in terror, closed my eyes, and bracing myself for being struck by it.

It did not, however, reach me. No weapon pierced me. When I gradually opened my eyes. I noticed the weapon ascending in mid-air with such dubious force.

"... Didn't I said calm down? Are guys are stupid or deaf!? Since when did I allowed you to do something reckless when I'm present here?" I cast a brief glance at the guy, who is practically staring fiercely at the other creatures.

"Forgive me, My Divine Grace." the weapon just slammed down to the ground as the other creatures stepped away from us.

I just thought I'm going to die before. What am I thinking? Didn't I just died before, but I was saved?

"Now. Your Highness. I'm relieved that we've finally met. I'm Elliot, the place's Deity. This is, I suppose, our first meeting." I locked my attention on his solemn eyes. He wasn't glaring, but somehow his stare was rather deadly.

"...And I had no idea you were this adorable!" he suddenly pinches my cheek. The deadly glint in his eyes had already vanished due to his childlike attitude.

"You look like your Mother and Father! I'm delighted to see you. I realize you're the mini-fushia!"

Does he know my Mother? What is this? I know Mother knows these creatures, but I'm still shocked that many creatures know her like really well.

"I assume you didn't come here by chance. I've heard through the trees that the Will is pursuing you. Please don't mind him. That idiot always does stupid stuff without even thinking."

He is savage for a Deity. But Look.

I cast a glance to my side, where the other creatures stood.

They don't even bother to defend the Will. I suppose one may always defy, eh?

"So, tell me. What I may be helpful to you?" He repeated his question. I took a cautious gulp.

I'm hoping he won't alter his mind after I tell my intent.

"Please help me to go back to my world!" My words were rough. I don't know where is this strength was coming from, but I heard the creatures gasped.

I directly stared at this Elliot in front of me. He wasn't saying anything, but I saw his mischievous chuckle on his very face.

"Sure thing, but only on one condition."

"What is it?"

Here we go again, the conditions!

"If you are able to get out of my maze with your conscious. I will get you out myself."

Maze! This Deity is the same as the Will!
