Kai's bored expression slowly turns into a shocked one as her words register in his mind. The first thing to change in his expression are his eyes, then his eyebrows furrow and his lips parts open in shock as he considers the possibility that the woman in front of him speaks nothing but the truth.

The woman's facial expression immediately shows how upset she is with his reaction, "What?" Her tone drops, "What? Is something wrong? Does talking about this make you feel uncomfortable?" She rolls her eyes when his chokes slowly turn into coughs. "Well, you asked for an answer and I told you the honest truth."

He shakes his head as if to clear doubts, then he looks back at Aubrey's body laying on the ground before looking back at the woman. "I don't understand. Of all the ways to get reunited with my missing piece this is the strangest. How am I to believe you?"
