Chapter 2: CHAPTER TWO
Boss and I researched a lot , mainly from the post mortem reports . By 2 in the morning, both of us passed out in the office room . I woke up after 4 hours of sleep . Boss had already left the room. I went back home , with a new feeling planted in my once hopeless heart . I now had a desire to help my boss catch those most probable blood suckers and make them pay .
Boss had started trying to find the killer for almost 2 years now . We had no idea how long it would take us to find them but right now , I was determined to try my hardest ever to find those suckers .
I took some money from my savings and bought a sandwich for breakfast. I wasn't full yet but so as to save money for dinner , I went to my bestfriend stacy's house instead .
"Hey bestie!!" Stacy greeted me warmly . I hugged her and we talked about stuff . Stacy supported me for everything . She was the only one who trusted me when I was kicked out by my parents ...
My parents kicked me out because they found out that I was replaced at birth. I was actually the daughter of a nurse and she died a few years prior us finding that I was replaced . Nobody looked forward to even talking with me because most of them believed that I was as cowardly as my dead mother . Stacy was the only one who put herself in my shoes and I was very grateful for that .
As I knew that she wouldn't doubt anything about what I planned on telling her , I told her about my boss's misfortunes and my 6th sense telling me that those creatures were real . "I believe you , Rene . I would've thought the same if I was in your shoes so you don't have to think of yourself as crazy cause then you're gonna have to add me in the list too !!"
She was a magical person. She just brightened my mood with one sentence . After spending time with her for the whole day to relax myself a bit , I left her house . It was night by now . It was chilly as well as foggy .
A bit too foggy for my comfortablity . While walking towards my house , I got goosebumbs and the hair behing my neck kept standing up.
I looked behind me but only heard the wind whooshing . Strangely though, I felt more uncomfortable. I took running as my option and ran for my house . It wasn't safe being home since it didn't guarantee security but it was my best bet . Footsteps weren't heard but I felt someone's eyes following my movements .
As fast I could , I closed the front door taking out my phone to inform stacy but the door broke open .
There stood a man , dressed fully in black ...
