Doman Monroe

In the Scarlet Flowers city there was a huge wall that separated the territory where the humans lived and the territory where the Stone Men lived. In addition to this wall in one of the richest regions of the city there was a huge building of almost 40 floors, on the top floor of that same building stood a man with gray and rough skin.

On this floor there was only one office that occupied the entire 40th floor with only a small space for a single hallway that led to a luxurious elevator. The floor of this office seemed to be made of polished wood and its furniture gleamed with some ornaments made of pure gold and some made of silver. In the upper corner of this office the gray-skinned man stood behind a desk with a grave expression, suddenly a man in black robes with a masked face appeared in front of him and knelt.

"Doman hasn't returned from his tour yet? the rough-skinned man asked.

"From what we have been informed, young master Doman has crossed the border that led to the human zone and has not yet returned. " The man in black said respectfully.

"That useless son of mine! " The man slammed his fist on the table. "It's no longer enough to be lazy in your cultivation and have a mediocre talent, he still needs to constantly embarrass us by coming into contact with these human worms. "

The man was well acquainted with his son's personality and knew that Doman was not the type to sympathize with those weaker than him, much less humans. The only reason he constantly visited human territory was that in that place everyone was weaker than him and in Stone Men's territory everyone was stronger than him being he preferred to stay in a place where he felt superior in some way. Trouble was, for the Stone Men to enter human territory was like entering a pigsty—sometimes it was inevitable to go there so things wouldn't get out of hand, but otherwise everyone would keep their distance from that place.

"When he returns tell him to come to my office. "

"Yes sir. "The man in black disappeared like he was never there.

With a cool look and dignified posture the man continued to stare into space for a few seconds before going back to solving his own affairs. He could not let himself be stressed by his son Doman's reckless attitudes, when he met him again he would insist on giving him a harsh punishment.

"Don't you dare kill me! I am the tenth son of the royal family, Doman Monroe!"

At the time, Doman was in an unfortunate situation. After passing a boy and seeing that he was holding a bag tightly, Doman's eyes filled with malice and he soon demanded that the boy hand him the bag. However he did not think that the boy was in possession of something valuable because he was a human child, in fact he just wanted to steal that bag because he realized that the boy valued very much whatever was inside it, there was nothing that Doman liked more than stealing something people loved.

Despite his orders that boy really dared to flee and what left him most perplexed was that as much as he ran after that child he was unable to keep up with her, you must remember that he was a Stone Man in the 4th stage of Refining Body. That said no human man should be able to keep up with his speed much less a child.

Upon realizing something wrong with that boy Doman was extremely determined to kill him, however who could say that suddenly another human would appear several times more powerful that would beat him in such a way?

By now Doman's head was swollen to such an extent that his facial features were totally unrecognizable. Furthermore, the various fractures and broken bones in his body not only impeded his movement but provided him with an immeasurable amount of pain.

"You see…if you kill me all the Stone Men will chase you and kill everyone you love. Plus if you let me live I'll give you a lot of rewards. Doman yelled in despair. He felt that his life was really in danger at that moment, as a member of the royal family he felt extremely humiliated for needing to negotiate with a human, however he knew he had no choice.

Nicolas looked at Doman with a cold gaze. Provide me with various rewards? Let you live? What a joke! He knew that after Doman left there he would quickly inform his father of a human with an ability and all the forces of the royal family would be mobilized against him. Clenching his fist, Nicolas slashed Doman across the face.

"You damn! Doman yelled.

Then a fist traveled towards his face and struck him again.

"I'll kill you! Doman yelled fiercely.

Doman was hit in the face by another punch.

"Please spare me! Doman started to cry.

After another string of blows, Doman's body relaxed and chilled while a look of despair remained on his face even after death.

[The host evolved to level 6]

[All stats increase 1 point, +5 Points]

Nicolas was surprised by these notifications. Leveling up was being unusually fast, if people could get that strong easily then Nicolas must have been easily overwhelmed by that Stone Man since Nicolas only awakened his ability a few days ago.

The truth is that Nicolas in the cultivation world was an aberration, anyone who was aware of his cultivation speed would probably take his own life by not wanting to live in such an unfair world. What the fuck is this, little brother? Did you get on a rocket by chance?

The system was like an extremely dangerous anomaly in the farming world. Even so Nicolas did not let this power go to his head, after all as he had the opportunity to get such an amazing skill then surely there would be other people with equally frightening skills.

Before Nicolas could continue his thoughts a notification that almost made him choke on his own saliva appeared before his eyes.

[The system has detected the bloodline of another race: Race of Stonemen. Want to absorb? ]

What do you mean to absorb a lineage, system? Are you looking to challenge nature with this? Nicolas felt exasperated, when he got used to the absurdities of the system he was soon surprised again. However even after hesitating he still calmed his mind and responded with a solemn face.

'Yea.'

[Absorbing Lineage: 1%... 10%... 30%...]

Nicolas watched the numbers slowly climb to 100% and opened his Status to check the difference.

[Skills]

[Lv1 Boost: 16/30]

[Lv1 Concealment: 98/100]

Soon Nicolas noticed that in addition to the Golden King there was one more item in his lineage. Without hesitation Nicolas walked a little deeper into the forest and stopped short. Since Nicolas had started fighting Doman the boy had already fled far away and Nicolas would not chase him, now that he was alone Nicolas gathered his courage and said in his mind:

"Activate the Lineage of Stone Men"

Just like magic Nicolas's body began to grow a few more inches as his skin took on a greyish color and rough texture, it was as if he were a genuine Stone Man at that moment. Now that Nicolas had rebelled against the Stone Men race, this would be a very valuable resource that gave him an enormous advantage.

This bloodline feature basically greatly increased the course of action Nicolas could take as he could now easily infiltrate the Stonemen and gather information. Even so Nicolas would do things little by little, after all, no matter how much resources he had, it would be rash to enter the lions' den without an elaborate plan.

Upon opening his stat again Nicolas noticed that there was a (+30) next to all of his stats, this was probably an advantage given to him while the Stone Men bloodline was activated. After deactivating the Stone Men bloodline Nicolas left the forest and returned to his home.

----------

Unbeknownst to Nicolas, a scene was taking place several miles from where he was standing. A child and a middle-aged man floated in midair as they looked out over the busy streets of the "City of Scarlet Flowers". If Nicolas saw that boy, he would probably recognize him as the one who had been chased by Doman.

"So…who is he? " The middle-aged man asked indifferently.

"I do not know. "Replied the child.

"I didn't hear of any undercover specialists in this low-grade town. Why would he bother to live here? "

"Master, from what I realized, his cultivation was only in the 3rd Stage of Body Refinement. "The child responded quickly.

"So weak? How did he manage to defeat a member of the Brutus family? "

"I don't know, from what I've seen it looks like his ability provides a huge boost to his physical strength. "

"I see…however he didn't mess up our plans, in fact he was quite useful. Can we consider him a possible ally? What was his race? "

"He was human sir. "

The middle-aged man's eyes filled with disbelief before he quickly regained his composure with a smile forming on his lips.

"There must probably be a powerful expert nurturing this kid. Otherwise I don't know how it can cultivate under the Stone Men's nose since cultivators are particularly sensitive to energy fluctuations in the air, let's look at it for now. "

"Should we report this to superiors? " The child asked.

"Yea. Also say that Doman Monroe, the tenth child of the Monroe family, has finally fallen. "
